you can buy it in CLEAR which is obviously transparent 
, it dries like a rubber layer so will be 100% waterproof aslong as its properly coated all over and up the wire a little bit so water cant get in where the wire does if you wiggle the wire around

Shove it in a large transparent plastic bag & immerse the sealed end leaving the open end out of the water.
