Do you go every 6 months like you are recommended to?

I haven't been in a year due to moving house, but I have only ever had 1 filling and brush twice aday so should be ok.

I'm still 14 so I go free every 6 months, but I'm good with my teeth and never had a filling or a tooth removed and still no braces. -dances-. When I'm older, I wont go unless I'm in pain, I get told my teeth are fine everytime so why waste money?.

Pretty much dont go unless I am in pain, I brush regularly etc so they are in pretty decent shape, albeit a bit damage from all the years of contact sports :)

About twice in the last decade . I've had one extraction and one quite large filling. I brush twice a day and floss occasionally. The only thing I could do with is a bit of a whiten (probably due to smoking for years (now quit)), but they aren't in that bad a shape, really. I've had a wisdom tooth come through almost perfectly and help to close the gap left by the extraction - lucky or what?!

I know I should really go, but I just don't like them :(

last time i went was when i was 17 and 364 days old. never been since. had a bit of hip when my wisdom teeth were coming through but after a couple of weeks that went and i was fine.

so yeah, haven't been in about 7 - 8 years

I go about once a year because I forget. My teeth are apparently in near perfect condition but need to be careful not to brush too hard.

Never had any aches or pains so stopped going for about 5 years. Then one of my teeth fell apart. Needed root canal and a hefty filling, should have cost me £300 but they never charged me for it, so I never went back ;)

Last time was nine months ago.

I went seventeen years without seeing a dentist before that, but was surprised and pleased to find out there was nothing wrong with my teeth. The hygienist got rid of loads of crap though.

I'm trying to keep to yearly check ups now, purely because they look so much better since the hygienist gave them a good polish :D

Nah, i don't go but i'm proud of my teeth and keep them clean, brushing twice a day minimum and mouthwashing. I don't floss as it seems pointless for me.

I've had no issues in the last 15 years and havent been in about 10.

PS. I don't trust dentists.

I go every sixth months for a checkup. He's always late, and quite often cancels appointments because it's either a sunny day and he's gone to play golf, or he's left the keys to his Porsche in his girlfriends car.

Oh and of-course it's not free, it's £££.

To give him credit he's a bleeding good dentist, just that customer service could do with a bit of work.

Check your mouthwash isn't one of the types that contains a lot of alcohol. I've read a few reports that it can cause mouth cancer and Johnson & Johnson covered it up (Listerine). Bit of a kick in the nuts when you're trying to do yourself some good huh.

2 years.

I'm disgusted in myself for this. The dentist is a family friend, and I know full well he'll give me a grilling when I go, hence my lack of attendance.

my dentist has big boobs and every time i go there she ends up having to squash them against me...

hmmmmm, large boobed female dentist......
