Right, Well it took me like 10 minutes to find out more about gw2 than this game..
Guess that's a no then?I am also interested in this game but I am in a similar boat... I would like to know a bit more than just what the classes are. It doesn't look like they have improved the franchise much since Galaxies, which I thorougly enjoyed

Thats not the point, Im just saying that in 1-2 videos i can find out a lot about the games direction.
Yes thanks i can google, My point is that there doesnt actually seem to be that much info, And most of the people will just say what you said, Aka its star wars so its going to be amazing, No need to find out anything more

I hope it doesn't just end there, but would really love a few concise articles or vids about what to expect from the PVP, i.e. is it objective based, battleground based, etc. and possibly a bit more detail about the Pve other than it has voice acting - in short, if anyone has a vid where devs are listing their objectives for the game and where they see it going that would be awesome. Thanks in advance to anyone that knows

I never actually said that. I said its Star Wars so > I < will pretty much going to enjoy it.

Sounds like you just hop from game to game without ever actually having had the pleasure of grouping/raiding/pvp'ing with some decent people.
When that's the case mmo's become tiresome almost instantly!
Join a decent gaming clan that spans a few games and it's a much better experience.
I too like some diversity and have been fortunate enough to have some very good gaming friends stretching back from EQ1 in 2000.
It's not what you play,it's who you play it with,once you get past the graphics and child friendly content of today's mmo's there's not much to keep you in the game other than the people you do the content with.
Once that sinks in you'll stick at it and enjoy mmo's much more.
If all you want is solo content,mmo's really aren't for you.

A quick browse of YouTube and the official website will give you all sorts of videos.
There are plenty of videos of story missions and flashpoints/operations narrated by BioWare/EA themselves. There's a load of PvP videos on TotalBiscuit's (his channel is called TotalHalibut) YouTube channel.
You got information about Guild Wars 2's PvE and PvP combat, as well as how the story is presented in a couple of videos. I really can't see why you're having issues finding this information on The Old Republic yourself.

If they've sent out more invites, and I again have been overlooked, I'll start taking the conspiracies that long registered members (Oct 08 for me) with pre-orders are being overlooked as they know they've already caught them very seriously

Should be good fun on a PvP server with some guys from here though. Meet up for Republic vs. Empire skirmishes
As for videos, I like to find them on swtor.com, and then watch them on YouTube in HD. A lot of the user-made content has been pretty poor thus far, honestly. As someone else said earlier in the thread though, £30 isn't too big an investment considering you get 30 days of entertainment, even if you don't decide to continue your subscription.

Can't tell how long I've had the invite for but I signed up for testing at the first opportunity. I just checked today despite having no e-mail and there was an invite waiting for me.

Well so far i have heard they are putting in planets that are for world pvp with zone domination i think, But nothing really details, The guy said in a video that they will release more info 'soon' But is it going to be like wintergrasp type affair with a instance to fight over, Are there keeps? Is there a point in going there etc.
