Last time you went to the dentist?

I last went about 6 months ago, and my dentist contacted me recently to go back, but seeing as they're in York, and I'm back and forth between Brid and Hull 'cause of uni, I've decided I won't be going until after I graduate.

I went end of August. New dentist at the local practice so instead of the standard 5 month waiting time with the permanent 30 minute delay when I go to my appointment I had <2 weeks and 5 minute delay. Before that it had been a couple of years though... plan to go back in 6 months like I should.

My dad however hasn't been for almost 30 years...

Wow who's your dentist? Every time I go, I get a small ***** in my mouth before they start drilling me. :D (I do love a good double entendre)

id like to give her a small ***** in her mouth, followed by some drilling....

but them i am a trainee dentist, and need the practise!

Check your mouthwash isn't one of the types that contains a lot of alcohol. I've read a few reports that it can cause mouth cancer and Johnson & Johnson covered it up (Listerine). Bit of a kick in the nuts when you're trying to do yourself some good huh.

I heard about this but as unsure. Im using that aquafresh stuff which i think isn't alcoholic.

I tried flossing but it doesn't give any results, i think the shape of my teeth means i don't have many gaps.

I've never been to the dentist. My teeth are nice and straight although I'll admit they aren't as white as they could be no matter how much I brush.

Is that bad?

A decade ago. They never do anything anyway, as I would have to go on a course of antibiotics before any treatment and I don't have pain. Think ill be like my great grandad and unless I smash any teeth out, die with a full set with no fillings. Just like immunity to disease some of us must have much higher natural resistance to tooth decay.

Almost three years ago now, two years ago for the opticians.

Probably should go really because I have had some trouble with my teeth in the past. An extra tooth which needed to be removed, two other teeth needed pulling out to create more room in my mouth for when I needed braces and a filling as well.

Loved the orthodontist, I usually spent 2 minutes in there while the guy put some new bands on to lessen the gap between a few of my teeth, then I'd have the whole day off school just because of it. Good times :p

Every 6months like clockwork. For checkup and clean. (I have dental insurance) which includes the cleans and checkups for free. So why not eh. I don't particularly enjoy the experience. But do feel better afterwards with a nice clean set of knashers.

my dentist has big boobs and every time i go there she ends up having to squash them against me...

hmmmmm, large boobed female dentist......

Same with the Hygienist where I go. Quite fit, too.

I last went about 5 months ago and I've got an appointment next month.

Haven't been in ages, though I should go once a year just to check.

My teeth are in great condition, though I wouldn't mind a scale & polish.
