Didn't have time to watch Tom's videos earlier but now the ball n chains away to bed, I started watching Tom's videos.
The guys just lost all credibility with me!
Watched the 6950 and he moaned about it even though it plays the games the same as the 560!
Started watching the 560 one and at 9 minutes in, if he can say that at stock 'it beats the 6970 as well' he's talking the biggest load of steaming ****,
he's clearly got a preference for Nvidia! Now I know why he wasn't enamoured with the 6990!
I didn't even bother watching the rest.
He wasn't really impressed with the 6950 but the 560 is fantastic even though they perform virtually the same!
As I said above get the brand your used to as they perform round about the same in 2GB form, I only go for bbfb myself, and I've owned bucket loads more Nvidia than ATI's in case anybodys wondering if I'm just into AMD's cards!
I think your clocks are among the highest I've seen. Are they the Toxics?
Edit : I saw the bit about the cooler so ignore my question.
One's a HIS and the others MSI, they are both reference though.
The HIS could do the clocks on the stock cooler but I set the fan to 100% when testing before I put the AC Extreme cooler(that I kept from my 5870) on it.
The noise was abysmal with the HIS stock cooler even at idle never mind anything over 50%, I suppose I was to used to the AC cooler from before.
I had to source some heatsinks to use on the vrms so I couldn't use the AC straight away but it still hit the same speeds.
The stock MSI cooler even though the same was nowhere near as loud which I thought was strange.
I even tried it in both top and bottom slots in CrossFire, so it wasn't a heat issue.
I probably could have lived with it but I do treasure the silence of the AC's they are worth every penny, I can't rate them enough.
