Forza 4 OcUK Car Club

Yes. I assume we are talking about that insane MR2? He must surely have drag tyres on. The getaway on the 'ring was stupidly fast.

Haha that was funny!
Was that the S class or the A class race I can't remember :/

The A class race when I was in the Plymouth GTX and crossed the line side by side with the VX220 was fun!

The mr2 is S class as I was racing in my ka that race lol. The best race of the night was the last one though, beating g0rd round his all hallowed mugello :p

FAO r0zvad/JimIsLost - How the hell are you so fast in a straight line?

I was racing your ghost on the NSX/Suzuka challenge last night, and while I could keep up with you in the corners you were monstering me on the straights. Between both the run from the hairpin to Spoon and Spoon to 130R your ghost consistently pulled out about 15 car lengths.

It's not just that your ghost was getting a better exit as we'd often exit together, but you'd pull ahead on gear changes. I'm using manual gears so I'm guessing I'm either changing at the wrong point, or the fact I use auto clutch is slowing the changes down?

Annoying :)

I'm using manual with clutch on the pad. You can change gears a LOT quicker doing it yourself. Try it out, map the clutch to A.

Also, when playing normal manual the game seems to change gear in a very casual way using the clutch, seems to take longer to get back on the power. Where as when you're doing it yourself, you can really power shift and do extremely quick changes. This is why I'm gaining advantage on the straights.

How do people use the clutch? Do you actually have to release the accelerator when you're changing gears or do you just hit the clutch and then the gear change without letting up on the accelerator?

When I first started using clutch it took me a while to get used to rev matching, but once you have it down it will just come naturally. Depending on the car used, you won't gain much advantage, if any. Racing cars for example with the paddle shifts, sometimes you're better off going back to manual.

Let off, hold A, and glide my thumb over X or B to change gear. This all happens in a split second. Once you get good with it you can see how so much time can be gained. The main thing about doing it yourself is, the auto clutch eases into the next gear(I seem to remember it was even s lower in Forza 3), you can see it in the telemetry. Where as doing it yourself, once you go into the next gear you're straight into the power. Couple that with faster gear changes regardless, you will see faster lap times.

Just went through the members list. Made notes of anyone who is a low level. I'm going to give them a few days and if they haven't been online then I'll make some room for people who would be quite active.

Got 10 names so far.

i would start a 2nd club but i see no point in leaving the current one and starting a 2nd one.. so any of you guys (i think) are free to start a 2nd club and accept requests/manage it :)

I think if we give it a few weeks then some people will lose interest and then they'll be removed from the club. We won't have 100 regular people this time next month. So everyone who actually wants in and be active will get a chance.

Yeah i'll just have to sneak myself into some racing when it is on the cards. :) With the game in its infancy most of my club are working on different car setups to see what does and does not work... i just want to race :)

Since my copy still hasnt arrived can some one post up some nice screens of Skyline R34 and Ferrari 458 Italia ? If there in it please

it's the only one i've uploaded so far, the game's too much fun :D
