99 Evo VI GSR, went down to have a look at the car yesterday(thats all i intended it to be .. a look), was so impressed i ended up leaving with the car.
the car has been so well looked after, body work is solid very very little rust(couple of tiny bits of surface rust), transmission is solid and crisp, steering and suspension tight and responsive, engine... performance is ******* BRUTAL.
it has had some modifications and has been mapped to Approx 366bhp

the car is by no means perfect, there are a few small things to tend to before i'll be 100% happy with it.
1. An ABS sensor needs replacing.
2. engine bay needs a good clean up.
3. new rear pads and discs, dosnt really need them but the front have just been replaced and would just like to get it out of the way.
4. a tiny bit of laquar or whatever it is flaking on the bottom of the rear bumper.
5. sort out the tiny bits of rust.
6. professionally cleaned underneath then rustproofed/undersealed
7. mesh on the grills could do with a lick of paint
8. also need to square away that dodgy blue colour scheme thats going on there, return it to red, thinking of just buying another unmolested rocker cover, rather than fannying about painting it.
9. but first and foremost give it a good clean! it got manky on the drive home, the road conditions were horrid! that however is my job for Saturday morning!

no doubt i'll find more as i go along but this is my current to do list.

All in all though i'm extremely happy with the car:D

Will get some better photos up after i clean it at the weekend:)

I remember when I was in my teens and my neighbour bought one of these brand new, he also had an RX7 at one point, probably what got me into jap cars and at over ten years old they still do it for me!

Great looking car. I would be doing exactly the same as you and get all the small things sorted out now. I didnt see your other thread, i this a weekend toy that will be garaged during the week? A garage is always handy for doing small jobs yourself.

kinda yeah, will be used on the odd occasion through the week but i dont do many miles at all, its a toy... a bloody expensive toy:D

The car is a high end sports car, that should be cherished, used only at weekends and kept in a garage when not in use.
How the hell is there rust on it when my micra (which is 1 year newer) has none? Also no laquer peel. Also nothing needs a lick of paint.

Unless it was cheap I don't get why you bought it.

That car is not a high-end sports car. Its a fast jap saloon that was built to be used everyday.

Is this a joke?.

Also, lovely car OP. Enjoy :).

They do freshly painted exchange rocker covers on Ebay and the likes, you'll pay a deposit then get it back when you've posted your old one back.

Nice :)
