Bethesda v Notch/Mojang

He should have called it iScrolls and got double points.

ROFL

Seriously, someone at Bethesda is going to have a nightmare on Monday morning when they realise some overpaid lawyers have declared war on the holiest of independent developers.

This is just making them look fat and greedy... not good publicity and not the "bad" publicity which is good publicity either.

To pee Bethesda off, Notch should make his next game: The toMORROW WIND - FALLOUT of OBLIVION & the Scrolls of the NEW VEGAnS.

i dont know any one who plays oblivion etc. call it the edlerscrolls oblivion - it is just oblivion.

Aparently 'bethesda developers' said they were forced into creating the court case by 'bethesda publishers'

im glad mojang one it. it would have been the start of whole lot more of worse cases if they had of lost

But they haven't won yet. See my post above. The hardest part is still to come.

Tell that to Samsung.

Well true if you lose at that stage and you are selling as Samsung are then that is bad but as Mojang are still working on their game it would not affect them in the same way as it has affected Samsung. If Scrolls was available to buy now or they were about to ship then it would be bad....but they aren't so it is trivial.

The trouble with Bethesda doing this is that a lawsuit in itself is enough to bury the smaller company with costs. That's the way ***** business works :-(

Lol Mojang aren't small thats the point. Zenimax probably thought they could pick on the tiny "indie" developer but Mojang have a whole ****tonne of money now. More than enough to throw into a nice big court case that will destroy Bethesda's reputation amongst at least PC gamers.
