now if i also wanted to watercool my cpu/gpu's would my current psuy be up to that aswell? or which other psu would be best?

Thanks in advance

Your PSU should be fine, the TX series are excellent units. Obviously if you do have issues then you can replace it, that might be down to the age of the unit more than anything.

The AX is overpriced imho. Get either a Corsair TX V2 850W unit, or an XFX 850W, had both and they are excellent. They run SLI 480/580s without an issue.

If you want modular, the TX M or HX series are very good as well.

The PSU might shut down, system might become unstable.

I think some review sites managed to overload a PSU whilst testing and the system kept running without issue - I think it mitt of been the Corsair 430w.

a review site (i forget which but it was one of the first google results for "corsair ax 750 review") tested the ax750 up to 890W before it failed. great PSUs and i have to disagree with Speed - you get what you pay for.

I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for but sometimes it doesn't apply. The AX units are excellent quality but there is no way the are worth the asking, £130-140 for a 750w unit!?

It isnt like you are getting noticeable preformance increase for your extra £40-50 over what you need to pay either. I just don't see any advantages to spending that sort of money, it could go towards something else.

Both are Seasonics. So, well designed to take punishment.

Furmark will hit over 700W, but anything reasonable, 600-650w.

Remember that overclocking the GPUs obvisouly increases the power consumption. I'd say 650W would be gaming max.
