Hello, situation is I have a sidewinder x8 mouse which has stopped holding a charge for anything more than a few hours.

It takes a AA rechargeable battery, I don't ordinarily buy these so only have normal AA batteries in the house.

I was just wondering, would a normal AA battery be fine to use and be safe to recharge?

I hope this isn't too stupid a question to ask.

I'm guessing its probably not a problem but just wanted to be safe incase my mouse explodes or something.

Thanks

Oddly enough you can only recharge RECHARGABLE AA batteries, you're likely to melt the battery and a fuse and possibly knock out the electricity to your house, maybe even a small explosion if you try and recharge a non-rechargable battery.

But to answer your question, yes you can use non rechargables in a rechargable mouse, just don't charge it

Damn, I was thinking a rechargeable battery can't be that different to a normal one so it might work.

OK I'll just buy some batteries, thanks.

Are you just a troll or an idiot?

They don't put RECHARGEABLE on a ****ing battery for a selling point, its a completely different chemical.
