Fixed running game on Steam in offline mode
Fixed damaged saves when a player has more than 190 items in inventory (weapon or stacked items, counting in items from Jin’s storage and player inventory). Corrupted savegames will be recovered when possible.
Fixed problems with unlocking "There and back again" with progress 72/72
Fixed duplicating weapons:

When throwing and dropping at one time
When dropping items from inventory

Optimized scanning for friends-process, to decrease lobby server workload
Fixed random freezes when playing 4 players coop no longer appear
Fixed issues when using medkits from inventory menu
Stacking items issue solved: miscellaneous items to 9999, medkits and alcohol to 30 instead of 10.
Added the option to disable voice chat in game.
Limited Jin’s storage capacity to 150
Fixed: disappearing items when there is no place in inventory and a player tries to get an item from Jin’s storage
Improved trading: items will be removed from the smallest stack instead of a random one.
Fixed problems with corrupted profiles, which caused the game to start with black screen and freeze.
Fixed levitating zombies after killing
Fixed not being able to show quest details in quest menu using Xbox controller
 
Damn now I wished I'd duplicated my fave weapons a few dozen times. Not the sort of bug I like to see fixed. I suppose though it did rather spoil the mechanic of earning money.
 
Don't know where everyone is with using mod's with this game but steam just updated last night to 1.2.1 and broke the developers menu mod. I re-applied it and it seemed to take the game back down to 1.2.0.

Also the 1.2.1 fixes the drop item cheat so it cannot be done.

Gah, I bet they haven't fixed the keyboard stutter though!?
 
Mine has all of sudden stopped working since a small update

Was fine before this, im gutted got so far as well

Anyone else experiencing this?
 
Steam has just started downloading over 1gb update, anyone know what this is about?

New Patch:

This patch includes the following fixes:

1) Gameplay improvements:
· Level cap raised to 60
· New blueprints for weapon mods added
· Infected damage reduced
· Infected no longer interrupt player attacks
· A series of improvements to subsequent playthroughs implemented:
o quest XP rewards adjusted
o XP rewards for challenges adjusted
o in subsequent playthroughs XP is awarded for all quests completed in co-op
· Purna’s ammo carrying capacity increased by 50%
· Character state from a save game can now be loaded when using the Start from Chapter option
· New balancing option added: enemy levels can now be adjusted independently for each co-op player
· Players respawn with more health
· Lock pick skill level required to open a lock is now clearly indicated
· Improved rewards in weapon crates
· All weapon crates now contain rewards

2) Fixes and interface improvements
· Fix: players are no longer left without a weapon after dropping the equipped item and healing with a medkit.
· Fix: equipped items no longer swap mysteriously after drinking an energy drink
· Tweak: healing with medkits from inventory works better, makes smarter choices of medkits
· Fix: loot from dead enemies is now always identical for all co-op players
· Fix: Purna no longer finishes her Fury with fists equipped
· Fix: map tracking after death
· Fix: zone info in the quarantine zone (City of Moresby)
· Tweak: respawn point selection is now smarter

3) General
· Improved stability and network performance in co-op
· V-sync option added
· Quest and reward fixes implemented

Try this:

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dead island\DI\Data\game.ini
Locate: Locale("EN") and change to Locale("en")
 
Anybody found any new mods yet? I managed to find:

Gordons Revenge mod next to work bench in river village

Blood mary mod in the laboratory toilets

Devastating home run mod in the laboratory next to the work bench

I have been exploring the jungle on my second play through I missed the overpass village the 1st time, and I have just found a chainsaw there is a guy guy called Jason that i killed and for some reason he keeps re spawning

Update has altered gameplay so much that I no longer like the game. The strategy of using kick to control the enemy while your stamina regens is completely lost as kicks also lower your stamina. Also sometimes I can't finish the Zombies with an head stomp if my stamina is low where I could do it anytime before as long as I had some stamina. I have no problem with game fixes but why have they made the gameplay crap?
