Basically, i'm going to get the Panasonic Viera TX-L42U3B

I plan on playing xbox with it and watching sky HD

So basically, is 50mhz going to make a noticable difference from say 100Mhz?

Will 50mhz be a problem/cause any problems for this?

Obviously I meant 50Hz

90% of the questions posted on here can be found out through google searches, point?

Last time I checked writing in last letters is to emphasise it, nothing to do with ones intelligence?

Now if you could stop posting pointless replies to my thread.

I think the biggiest difference by getting a 100hz set over a 50hz set will be around 50hz in difference. Or 0.5, 1/2 or 50%

With "100Hz" the TV internal electronics interpolates (guesses) a frame between each of the standard PAL 50Hz frames. Hence resulting in an image that can look smoother, but since it is guessing it can look weird if there is a lot of fast movement or big scene changes.

Therefore a "100Hz" TV will happily accept 50Hz input (you can confirm this by looking at the spec sheet for the TV on the manufacturers website) and often you can chose whether you want the 100Hz mode on or not (personally I turn these modes off).

100hz, or indeed any type of framerate-increasing jiggery pokery, is not all that great for gaming. Yes of course there is a notisable difference, but that doesnt mean 50hz will actually be the worse of the two.

Go look at some in store and get a demo or something.
