In my previous thread I got some advice on which TV to buy. It looks like I'm going for the Sammy 64'' 64D8000.

I want to have it wall mounted and I don't think that will be a problem but this means there won't be a stand. However, I've been thinking about the following:

a) what is the recommended height that such a TV should be positioned? Are there any suggested min/max heights, assuming I will be sitting on standard couch watching,
b) also, what about cabling? Is there any way to hide all the unsightly cabling that I guess will be going down to the leccy socket? How do people deal with this since having sockets in the middle of the wall is slightly uncommon :)

When seated take a horizontal line from your eyes to the screen. This is your eyeline. Split the screen picture height in to 1/3rds. At the border between the bottom and middle thirds is where your eyeline should fall. Adjust the screen height accordingly.

thank you very much for this.
