Maybe you forgot or didn't notice what London is like, or perhaps didn't care because you knew your stay there would be transitional. Well look, for most of us, our stay isn't transitional, we have to live here. We don't want to live cheek by jowl with other people, especially immigrants.
The US has 300 million, now imagine if it had ten times that many and you'll be getting close to the population density of England.
Yet we are told to keep 'growing'. I say no.
I'm fine with the idea of National Service as long as it's just a redemptive program for all the wasters in society rather than a pointless delay for people who show the slightest modicum of talent or aspiration.
No I'm just not an insecurity-ridden waste of space. Btw great argument about not living with immigrants given I moved to and live in the state with the highest proportion of immigrants (ILLEGALS TOO ZOMG) in a nation with one of the highest proportion of immigrants - the US, any more EXCELLENT arguments?

There's this thing called a school where lots of things about how the World came to be are taught. Usually if someone doesn't know something after they leave school it kind of indicates they didn't pay attention.
People like you go around saying stuff like you did earlier as if it is hard fact when it isn't. That makes you dumb.

We went to war to save Poland from tyranny.
In 1945, Poland was under Stalinist tyranny, at least as bad as Hitler if not worse.
We bankrupted our country and ended up in hock to THE YANKS to whom we only repaid our war debt a few years ago.
We lost our empire.

You are talking centuries up centuries away notwithstanding technoligical and social advancements, and other variables. Earth may even have to curb population growth in a unified manner, this is all unknown conjecture.
Funny, when my travels span the length of the UK most of it looks like fields and greenery to me.
As for the little straw man at the end, codswallop. Pointing out the status quo is hardly defending something. Don't pish about with me it's pointless we've done it a thousand times now, rational.

Seriously, the most advanced Empires in the world were from the Asian and North African regions for millenia before Europe began their expansions. Most of the things we take for granted such as Science, Maths, Medicine and Literature originated in these Empires. Don't confuse what happened after the rise of Christendom and the subsequent rise in European Imperialism with being indicative of the entirety of Human endeavour.

I have a Scandinavian mother and also a large family in Finland / Sweden. All of my cousins have gone through National Service. They all enjoyed it and I like to think it has shaped them into better people. They are all successful.
They all know how to handle themselves and shoot a gun. Attack Scandinavia at your peril.
No I'm talking about now. And technology etc. cannot overcome physical realities of space.
People need sufficient space to live and raise a family etc. We shouldn't be forced to live in expensive rabbit hutches just to satisfy 'growth'. Do you think our 'leaders' live in such crappy cramped conditions? Why do you defend it?

I notice this as well - fly into Heathrow and you'll have plenty of time to gaze out the window as you queue for ages in a stack because hippies won the fight over the third runway. But when you consider almost all the green is farm land - ie it belongs to somebody - you realise that actually despite that open space it's not as if we are awash with space and emptyness either.
Which is in absolute abundance.

Zimbabwe used to be the 'bread basket' of Africa. Now people are dying of starvation. The White farmers who Mugabe ethnically cleansed cannot be blamed for that country's descent into chaos. I guess we can blame your liberal parents who supported African terrorists and the people who controlled our government at that time.
Do you support the existence of an Israeli state but not the existence of a European in Zimbabwe?
Where did you get those ridiculous figures? The indigenous population could be supported fine as it was for many decades.
