Hi all what would be the going rate for a pair of GTX 560 TI's?

I've got chance of buying a pair second hand? But I know nothing about graphics cards!

What resolution do you mean by high? Multiple monitors? Or just 1080 or above?

I have a Asus 560 ti UC II and it ran the BF3 Beta at 1080 no problem also been running Witcher 2 at 1080 and 45-60fps. Thats with a 2500k at 4.6ghz and 8gb 1600mhz ram.

Sorry I don't know much about graphics and resolutions,

I game on a 32" Samsung hd tv through the dvi port
That would most likely be 1920x1080.

Normally if it was 1920 monitors at say...21.5", 4xAA doesn't really look all that different from 8xAA because of the smaller screen size, so having only 1GB of VRAM and using 4xAA wouldn't be a problem at all. However, for 1920 res at 32", the higher level AA would be the only way to improve the graphic quality with the limitation on resolution, so you would want graphic card(s) with more VRAM for using 8xAA or higher. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend getting the GTX560Ti 1GB SLI...instead, get either a single or a pair of GTX560Ti 2GB or 6950 2GB, or simply grab the EVGA GTX570 2560MB and overclock it.

Ok but just as a put me on will these cards suffice my mate has offered them to me for £100 for the pair,
£100 for a pair of GTX560Ti 1GB? That's a STEAL! A SINGLE 2nd hand GTX560 Ti 1GB worth more than that!

If that's the case, with this little cost, it would definitely worth it...even if it mean that you are only using 4xAA on games in general, or 2xAA/0xAA on the more demanding titles.

Two things you have to check though:
i) Make sure your CPU wouldn't bottleneck
ii) Make sure your PSU is up to the job (you will need a decent branded 750W PSU...or 650W if you are pushing it).

If my mate was selling me two GTX560Ti 1GB for only £100 (which is an absolute bargin), I would definitely take him out for a few drinks in return.

I don't know the make of the psu,
The motherboard is a asks BFG maximus, or striker ii I can't remember,
I think you mean Asus, not BFG for the motherboard...as maximus or striker are the codename they used for their enthusiast boards. From what I recall, they will support both Crossfire and SLI, so you should be fine there.

As for your PSU, if you can...open the side panel (I'd suggest you to do this with your PC off) and have a look at the label on the PSU for its brand name to make sure it is not some nasty, generic brand.
The reason for this it is agreed that the PSU is essentially the most important piece of hardware in the PC, as if the quality of the PSU is poor, it could go BANG when stressed, and taking the rest of the PC with it...and considering you got a i7 CPU, high-end motherboard and soon pair of GTX560Ti, I think you definitely would not want that to happen...so you should really try to identify the brand and the model of the PSU you using and let us know, and we will confirm for you to make sure it is not of a poor generic brand.
