Cooler Dont Fit.

Hey guys i bought a Artic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 for a mate of myn and he cannot fit the bracket because the plugs are too big.

His mobo is ipiel-la3

Help?!

Did it have a standard intel cooler or a proprietary HP one on to start with? If the latter the holes may not be the standard size or spacing and you could be stuffed.

Being a OEM board it may be slightly different to normal boards. Is there any way of opening the holes.

Maybe using a stanley knife you can shave a little of the plastic plugs.

Looks like there is a bracket under the board, you would need to remove the motherboard and check.

How to did the old heatsink attach to the board.

You could do what I did recently when fitting a cooler when I tried to force the cooler in to place half asleep and then break one of the plastic plugs.

this. looks like you forgot to remove the old bracket first, you can see the silver poking out
