At some point all perception of the nature of existence as to deal with Faith.Wether you like it or not. You know you exist but cannot explain why and scientists cannot offer any evidence to explain why.

Why does there have to be a "why" to our existence?

It's very likely that things just are, and some people struggle to grasp the concept of us existing for no actual reason.

We're born, we live, we die. That is all we are 100% certain of.

Science is just the sum total of human knowledge. Science does not offer all the answers but it trys to further understanding. An understanding which grows year on year. There does not have to be a reason why but if there is i'm hopfull human endevour will find it eventually. Even if that reason involves a "god".

There doesn't have to be a why.

But nothingness cannot be made into somethingness.

Science offers the same answers as any other faith.

In fact science is restricted by its laws its more farcical than a belief in God imo.

So both viewpoints require faith...Whatever you conviction if you believe, don't or don't know requires faith.
It does not require faith. A scientist my find something believable and worth persuing as a theory but that does not mean they belive it to be unequivocally true of false. Religion on the otherhand does.

Atheist = lack of belief.

Agnostic = does not believe it's possible to know either way.

You can be a theist or an atheist & agnostic at the same time.

They concern different things.

This somewhat warps the results, as very few people misunderstand this.

How many people here picked agnostic who don't believe in a god.

Because if you don't believe in a god you are an atheist.

Exactly

They can't prove Truth hence the science movement being no different than organised religion.

Also believing in a god does not always have anything to do with religion

I've put Atheist as out current evidence and understanding suggests that there isn't a god (or at least there's no evidence to suggest that there is), however if that were to change then obviously my opinion would also.

Anyone putting you in the Atheist category would be wrong as you aren't decided against there being a deity. :)
Actually the best description of atheist is simply lacking a belief in a god/deity.

Simply appreciating that a being could theoretically exist in a region of the universe in which our laws of space & time do not apply is not the same as saying "I believe in a god".

I appreciate it could exist, but have no reason to believe in one - due to lack of evidence - this requires no leap of faith (like believing does).

It's a common tactic to try to brand atheism as "Believing that no gods exist" but this is flawed.

As in my mind there is nothing to form a belief about either way, I don't hold a belief that Unicorns don't exist.

I would also not saying that it's impossible for Unicorns to exist.

I simply, don't believe in Unicorns because no evidence has been shown which would spur me to change my mind.
