If I Ring 150, during the day I usually gets a call centre in Scotland, calling in the evening however gets me India

Well....got through to an english lady at retentions.
I already have 20mb bband and phone.
So to add XL TV to include:
Tivo 500gb box
V+HD box
V-HD box
No movies or sports
approx. £75 pcm
Can't remember if she said i'd have to pay activation/installation charges.

VM suck as they don't allow RF out pass-through, so you HAVE to have another box to do what my skyHD box, coax cable and magic eye currently does in my bedroom.

Gotta weigh up decide.

Sky TV is great but the Broadband is rubbish! I personally like my Broadband more than TV so went with Virgin. I can see why someone more into TV and modest Broadband requirements would choose Sky though.

I'm currently paying £35 for just 50mb BB. No line rental or TV. The only thing I want to watch on tv is ESPN HD and Sky Sports HD. I'm thinking that I already have Virgin for broadband they might be my cheapest option. But when they charge an extra £7 a month just to get the HD version of SkySports, I'm not so sure.
Anybody had any experience?

Well I finally went with vm. Cancelled sky as they couldn't offer me anything decent. So now solely with vm for:
20mbps broadband
Phone (which I never use)
Tivo 500gb
V+ Hd box
V Hd box
XL tv
£60 pcm
No install or activation fees for the tv boxes and package.

Total bill £16.00

Sky offer me 1 year half price of skyworld £26.00 (be with sky customer for 4 years and I threating to cancel and they offer me 1 year 50% discount off.

Plusnet offer me 1 year ADSL2+ (as a backup only) for £5 a month with BT unlimited calls + line rental 12 months deal £16.35

we are currently with sky but were moving to our other house down road and atm we have to choose between

100MB Broadband with super hub for wireless,
Phone Package free evening and weekend calls
XL TV Package with all movie channels and Sports channels
3 Tivo 500GB HD Boxes
2 Standard HD Boxes

Total one off install would be £129.90
Total Monthly would be £148.90

When compared to Sky same packages with the amount of boxes it comes out at
Skys fastest bb
Total one off install £750.00
Total Monthly £162.80
