Could someone spec me a good bf3 card £150 max

5870 vs 560 Ti is a tough call to make on a performance basis, judging by this comparison. I recently upgraded to a GTX 560 Ti mostly out of habit of buying nVidia over ATI. It seemed to handle the BF3 beta fine.

When you say 'fine' what sort of settings are you running as I'm looking at the 560Ti as an upgrade from a GTX260 while the world waits for Kelper.

Thanks,

With the default quality settings at 1920 x 1200 I didn't notice any choppiness or unacceptably low frame rates. Unfortunately I can't be any more specific than that as I was having stability issues, (the game kept crashing - it was a beta, after all), so I didn't have FRAPs running to monitor frame rates. I'll get the game on Friday so I can give more specific information then, if you like.

Thanks Saundie,

I'll be on the virtual battlefield with a new card of some description by Friday night. I'm really unsure about what to do (which is very unlike me).

A significant amount being around 8% which is hardly significant when you look at the price difference.

Price difference is less than £20, and that's for a brand new 560Ti, not b-stock. Also 8% is really the minimum performance increase for most games. I would expect more like 10-14% more frames on average.
