5870 vs 560 Ti is a tough call to make on a performance basis, judging by this comparison. I recently upgraded to a GTX 560 Ti mostly out of habit of buying nVidia over ATI. It seemed to handle the BF3 beta fine.

With the default quality settings at 1920 x 1200 I didn't notice any choppiness or unacceptably low frame rates. Unfortunately I can't be any more specific than that as I was having stability issues, (the game kept crashing - it was a beta, after all), so I didn't have FRAPs running to monitor frame rates. I'll get the game on Friday so I can give more specific information then, if you like.
Stand out buy for the performance, certainly as good as the 560Ti but with more memory.![]()
It's a good price, but 560ti beats it on all of the benchmarks by a significant amount.
A significant amount being around 8% which is hardly significant when you look at the price difference.
