Southern Meet(Newbury) - 13th November 2011 (aka OcUK November Pride drive)

Tempted to come along, but the general motors crowd has always put me off these meets despite being less than 15mins from my house. When it comes to this subforum seems more sane to watch through a nice thick viewing window rather than get involved....

So ... maybe - Celica

I think if you like cars you will fit right in, speaking from a sort of outsider's point of view.

These meets are like those war stories where friends and foes stand round a fire, singing Christmas songs and playing football. Everyone leaves their keyboards at home, pops their car engine lid things, and talks about pipes and stuff.

All the bitching is then done behind people's backs.

;)

Hoon, Food, Hoon, Stop, Passenger rides, photos etc :p

Pub is at point B, the final stop is a country park at the minute, seemed to have a decentish car park when i drove past the other day so should be able to fit people in

I always seem to have fun down them, they are quite twisty, bit hilly and got some nice straights too

Bet someone tells the old bill beforehand. ;-)

When's the northern meet?

Whilst i quite like cars, this forum doesnt really like my kind of car :( it's one of those love/hate things, and this forum doesnt often love any kind of modification!

Cant see it going well when a car that looks more home on the fast & furious set pulls up :p

What makes you thing that?

I've read these forums for a long time now, modifications are for the most part looked down upon, but perhaps that was more just the old crowd?
Sure, some of the examples seen are truely horrific, but of course it's all down to personal taste.

It almost seems like some people take it as a personal offense when other people change the look of their car, whereas i may not like it but its their car that they paid for so let them have their fun.

But, this is all just my own feeling about the forum, not really a suitable thread for it, not that there ever is :) if i feel like giving people a bit of a laugh i'll come along to the meet
