possible to mod/hack 3d vision?

Since I'm not going to be able to afford a monitor that does it's own 3d vision any time soon, I was wondering if it would be possible to mod 3d vision to convert everything to 3d like the samsung monitors on movies etc?

i believe those samsungs use a chip to guesstimate the conversion of 2d to 3d - i have no idea whether there is software to mimic the same thing and if it could be adapted to what your asking - much research required

I really wish that the samsungs weren't so expensive

even the 700d is a bit too expensive for me
