Hi
okay guy i already have an ps3 and i been toying with the idea of getting a xbox for a few days now but really cant make up my mind. I was all set to buy one on sunday until the other half put the brakes on it.

Just need some pointers to get her on board with the idea

cheers

Already tried the kinect angle and she came back with a good comment "doesnt the wii we got do that" lol
I was kinda shocked she came up with that because she was sort of right.

All these chaps whose missus controls the purse strings. I'm shocked.

LOL

on the other hand, i would chose an xbox over ps3 any day just for the fact the controllers feel so much nicer to use. and the social part of live, feels a lot easier to communicate with friends

Not so much controls the money
just came up with a valid point of we have an baby arriving in early feb and surely the money would be better spent else where than on a console (something for the baby)
Just making me feel a bit guilty and selfish

She doesn't buy any makeup, clothes, shoes etc then?

If you like shooters then get a 360, but I personally can't see a reason otherwise but that is of course only my opinion.

Ignoring the whole ps3 vs xbox war, i dont think theres much difference between them. They both have good and bad the question is, do you need an xbox AND a ps3?

Good luck persuading a woman that you need another games console. You already have one, for goodness sake, and that's more than enough!

PS3 is a terrible console, I had one for a year. Until the PSN got hacked, so I made the switch and went to XBOX. I never regret doing so, as PSN was a shed load of crap. XBOX has much more to offer including Kinect.

Xbox 360 is such a terrible console, I had one for about a year. Until I got the RROD 4 times so I made switch and went PlayStation. I never regret doing so, as XBL means I have to pay to play online and buy expensive hard drives. PlayStation has much more to offer including Blu Ray, more quality 1st party games, free online & Move games that aren't for children.

Comments like this are just silly, the guy already HAS a PS3 and obviously likes it or wouldn't still have it. This thread isn't about point scoring, he just wants to know why he should get a 360 to supplement his PS3.

lol quality post made me chuckle...

As for the OP. My gf is expecting our first baby in Jan 2012. TBH I'd scrap the idea. You won't have much time for it once baby arrives you've got a PS3 enjoy this until baby arrives and then support your gf and baby as your gf will be tired, could fall into post natel depression and you'll need the money anyhow...

Babies are expensive... you've got one games console, its enough when you've got a family on the way.

Congrats on baby BTW.
