Is this a good overclock?

Hi, I'm not familiar with overclocking and I just attemped my first OC on my GTX580

I got these:

Core: 890
Shader: 1780
Mem: 2070
Voltage: 1.113

I'm, a noob so I need advice Thanks!

Pretty good.

TBH, a long as your card works and you're happy with its performance, it really doesn't matter how much you OC. No point pushing the card if you're more than happy @ stock speeds.

Also, each card ocs differently

thanks for the advice, I just gave OCing a stab since BF3 is gonna be a killer, I thought id ready up an OC profile in MSI AB for "protection" haha!

Just remember, when testing OC, don't bother with furmark. if its fine in games, it's a good OC

Try lower voltage.Mine doing 900 MHz on 1.1v

I test by running Heaven 2.5 up to a few times to look for artifacts etc then I go play an hour or so of BC2, that should be ok, no?

Thats how i test, with Heaven back to back tests, then play BC2.

Mine are currently 880 core @ 1.100.

Run Unigine Heaven to benchmark it! Just watch your temps and watch out for artefacts and done.
