Hey guys,

you may have heard about our 2 new budget cases called Outlaw and Merc:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-010-BX

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-012-BX

As they are fairly new we would like to give away some samples to interested OCUK forum users that would like to test one of the chassis and share their experience via an end user review with other OCUK forum members.

If you are interested please write short statement in here why we should give you a free sample for an end user review and what you like about the case.

Hi,

Id be interested in testing one of the two cases above.

The last free sample I recieved I conducted a full review including testing differences between the sample thermal paste and three others taking and average of three mounts.

I would be housing my media center in the case for the review as the old Asus case it currently resides in is now a little tired.

The specs of the system are

AMD Athlon 235e
Corsair Value 2gb DDR3
Gainward passive Nvidia GT210
Arctic Freezer 7 Pro cooling the processor passively.

The GT210 may also be replaced with a GTS250 in the next week or so.

GIVE ME CASE AND I'LL GIVE YOU REVIEW WITH NICE PICTURES AND CAPS LOCK!

(edit: or I could do it without caps :))

I'm looking for a decent case to house my home server and would love to compare my zalman z9 to another budget case. the Bitfenix look like very sturdy cases for the money and I would be very interested to try my server in a different case to compare noise, themral performance and ease of buildings.

I would create a new build log to detail the whole build and comparisons between the cases.

Hey,

I'd be interested in reviewing the Outlaw case, in comparison to my Zalman Z9 Plus. I love the fact that it has an inverted chassis, I've never worked with one before so that's a big plus for me. The simple design seems pleasing enough, I'd have to see it in person to give a thorough review though :)

I too would create a build log and post HD pictures throughout the small server build process.

I would be interested in sampling one of the above cases. mainly The Merc Outlaw as it is the one i would be interested in buying, I have been looking to get a new case as the one i have now is dated, battered and bruised (Alienware Aurora old model) i have had this case for the best part of 3 years now, while i still like the case it was mainly build for the computer that was in it. I have recently upgraded the parts and would really like a new case to go with my computer.

The alienware Aurora doesn't fix my current parts that i purchased from OCUK.. I need to have the side panel off due to the CPU fan being quite large. I also believe that both Merc cases have the space needed to house my CPU fan. I would also like to take everything out and fit it back into the new case, as well as write about my experiences whilst doing this. This is something i enjoy and like to do in my spare time. Fitting it from scratch and able to hide all wires and fit and build it how i would want is a must.

I also really like the Inverted motherboard tray for extra GFX cooling, for a little extra overclocking, and with cable management which is a must for me. what can i say i hate wires, need to hide them as much as possible. I like the inside of my case to look tidy (like most people)

With the option to House 8 Fans for extra cooling all round. This would be a must buy case for me or for anyone looking for a new case that does it all and more for a fraction of the price.

The design of the cases is nice and i like the matte finish, plus the thumb screws is a must for me as i keep losing my screwdrivers :D

The price of the cases is an eye opener as you get so much for so little.

Very good all round cases

My new Parts are :

MSI ATI Radeon HD 6950 OC Twin FrozR III Power Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache - OEM (ST31000524AS)
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Corsair A70 High-Performance Dual Fan CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/AM3/LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366)
1000w PSU

ps i now have a Alienware case and a Zulamn z9 plus.. to compare with..

I would like to test either case as I am currently searching for a case suitable for housing a part time server and gaming machine. As the machine must be running virtually 24/7 with an overclock, good airflow is essential and the case will need to have room for at least four 120mm fans.

Holes or clips for cable management would be great but not essential as I could easily neaten the cables myself.

One of the things I like from just looking at this case is it's all black design, it looks neat and tidy and could easily sit in an office environment whilst not looking out of place.

I would be interested in Testing either of the above cases.... i would do my best to Wright a full review, it would be holding my current rigg )mainly used for gaming) and would be replacing a Nvidia cm stacker 830 (getting on a bit now)
I would be interesting to see how Bitfenix is as a producer of cases, and also how cases have progressed over the years with different features (bottom mounted psu.ect)

I would also be interested to see what size coolers these cases fit in, as my akasa nero is 160mm and barely fits into one of the biggest cases ever produced( the stacker) and also compare the airfow to the stacker to see weather there is a difference in tempriture
MY spec is:
Amd phenom x3 720 BE
2x2gb cosair xms3 ddr3 (on its last legs)
Asus m4A88T-V Evo (also about to die)
Coolermaster stacker 830 (nvidia edition)
Saphire radeon HD 5830
Akasa Nero s heatsink
WD clavier green 1tb hdd

At the moment im hunting for something to replace my stacker as its very big, the cable management is non existent and its very very hard to work in. I also may if i get the chance throw in a comparison with an even older case the Mighty Akasa eclipse A62

Wouldn't mind testing and reviewing the Merc. I currently have my daughter's system (fairly basic Core2 setup) in a very old Jeantech Phong case!

Her old case is not only old, but very dated and tired looking. It would be great to get it into something a little more modern, stylish and with some cable management options. The Merc case seems to fit the bill perfectly and at it's price point, would be perfect for her basic system.

I like the Merc over the Oultaw mainly because it uses the standard ATX layout, but also because I just prefer the way the front of it looks.

I would have course prepare a full review with plenty of decent quality pics of the system. For what it's worth I was one of several on here originally chosen to be part of the OcUK review team that sadly never got off the ground :(

@frozennova: Do you prefer the Merc or Outlaw?

The Merc Alpha is my preferred choice.

Edit: After a closer look at the 2 cases the outlaw would be preferred although I prefer the front panel on the Alpha as I could also include the ease of installing a liquid cooled system using my main rig as listed in my signature.

I would be very interested in testing the Merc Outlaw using my system in my sig.

I would like to compare the temperature differences of the CPU and GPU in an inverted ATX formfactor case as this has been my biggest issue in my current case. I would also compare the the build quality and ease of installation, with particular attention to cable routing and tidying.

I would be more than happy to post a detailed review and pictures of my handy work.

Almost forgot, aside from the inverted layout I like the simple lines and clean look of the Outlaw and I love a bit of soft touch treatment in my life :D

I would be interested in seeing if all my gear fitted into this case without hindering airflow too much.

The outlaw is the one I'd most like to test out of course.

Componats in sig

I would be interested in testing the outlaw case.
I'm very interested in its inverted layout, I'm very happy to do a unboxing and video review.

And im looking to replace my old acasa case which has very bad wiring and is not sylish at all.

But i would be happy to test either of cases

I would be interested in testing the Outlaw case.
It looks really unique with its inverted design.
I am still currently using an old chieftec dragon so would be able to write a good review for anyone who is stuck in the past like me and looking to upgrade. My review would probably concentrate on ease of component installation, the noise levels of the case when operating and the cooling ability (with fans installed of course).

The rig used would be the one in my sig.

i would like to do a review of any BitFenix product on here and on my own gaming site.

i also could do with a new case as ive not got a very good one at moment (old antec server case :p) ive just upgraded a lot of bits so this would be a nice finishing touch to my gaming system

good luck everyone

I'd like to review any product from you. Could give a detailed review on the forum too. :D

I'd review everything from fans to cables too cases :p.

I even have some spare stuff to show off in the case to show the cable management :D

I would like to sample the Outlaw if possible. I'm upgrading my computer next week to a Corsair 600T White and the parts out of this computer are looking for a new home that's quiet and doesn't stand out but also sturdy.

I would be able to review the cable management, fans, overall looks, quietness and performance compared to the case I am using at the moment and could also do a comparison to the 600T if necessary.

I could do a review and compare these to Zalman Z9+ case or some more expensive like Corsair 500R and 650D. I have access to a sound level meter and other lab equipment so do real life measurements as well.
I am a designer myself and always evaluate products with performance/price in mind as well as what features can be added to make things better.
