335i M Sport v Infiniti G37

Maybe they give you a HUD to take your mind off how nasty the dash is!

I'd get paranoid with WALL-E staring at me all day!

I had terrible service from one BMW (Guildford) /
BMW in Sunningdale were much better and did everything they could possibly be expected to do.

No idea if it was down the dealers, probably more down to the individuals that dealt with me. You get good and bad people in every business.

Same.

Definitely. I've only used our local BMW dealership twice. Once it was flawless, quick to assist and comprehensive. The other time it was just useless and mildly offensive.

Its hard to see how Nissan managed to make the G37 this ugly... Im glad they don't call it a skyline outside Japan because it would tarnish the memories.

The funny thing is that imo the Skyline 350GT (Infiniti G35) actually looks better than the 350z it shares its platform with. The 370GT (Infiniti G37) just looks like a damn boat though, I find it hard to believe that's the same platform as the 370z, it just looks like the Skyline is dying an old fat death :(

Of the two cars there can be no doubt that the 335i M Sport is the better car.

Tbh for $16,275 more it should be :P very nice review though.

Sigh. Please at least make sure you check your facts - the $32k Infiniti isn't a G37 it's the new G25. Quite why you'd compare that with a 335i I've no idea. In the US market the 335i Sedan starts at $42050 and the G37 Sedan is $36200. A far smaller difference than you want us to beleive. The 335i Coupe is $44900 base v G37 Coupe at $37600 base.

Besides, I have already demonstrated that in the UK - the only market that matters to us - the G37 Coupe and the 335i Coupe are priced at more or less the same.

If the G37 was £10,000 less than a 335i then my opinion would be different. It's not, so my opinion remains the same.

There is every reason to expect the Infiniti to be as good as the BMW - it's marketed directly at the BMW and sold as an alternative. It isn't a Nissan, it is an Infiniti

Good write up.
However, I recently visited the Infiniti garage in Reading and the level of service was superb; much better than I have received in any BMW garage, or any other garage for that matter.
I'll also join the bandwagon and confirm that the E92 build quality is crap. I have been severely dissapointed since owning my car.

I noticed the G37 convertible starts at £45k, that will get you a well specced E350 CGI Cabriolet.

I really can't see people opting for these things over BMW/Merc or Audi over here. Why would you?

Also, I've had no issues in any of the local BMW or Mercedes dealerships, they don't tend to rush over and hassle you but they are extremely helpful if you ask them something. I hate pushy salesmen.

Ok so its only $12,475 more for the BMW but its still hardly spare change is it, Its odd that the BMW is only just under £6000 more over here though, I guess Nissan missed the mark their, or just thought they could get away with overpricing it..

And it is a Nissan (guess what, the Acura NSX is a Honda :O) changing the badge doesn't change the car.

Maybe i'm missing something, but the 335i Coupe is only $7300 more than the G37.

Where did you get $12475 from?

And it is a Nissan changing the badge doesn't change the car.

I would only agree with this statement when trying to wind up Audi drivers that their car is really a Skoda :p

If you can't be bothered to compare properly please do us a favour and stop clouding the thread with misinformation. I've already compared the prices of the 335i Coupe v G37 Coupe and the difference is NOTHING like £6000. For a start the 335i has Pro Nav as standard whereas its £2450 on the Infiniti.

The cheapest 335i Coupe with Navigation is £37230. With DCT 7 speed autobox and Nav, it is £38905.

The cheapest G37 Coupe is £36359. It has Auto, but not Nav. With Nav it's £38859.

They are as near as makes no difference exactly the same price.

Now go and practice basic arthimatic.

The G37 sedan is $36,200, the 335i M-Sport is $49,225 thats... $13025... which is even more :S ahh its $12475 more with the standard white paint option (so $13025 in the same colour as the one fox was comparing the G37 too)

At least VAG changed the bodywork though, the G37 is practically a Skyline 370GT with some badges.

I cant take the facepalm anymore, can you just stop posting?

A 335i Sedan in the US is $42k. The base G37 is $36k. That is a difference of $6k and not $13k.

BMW don't even do a model called the 335i M Sport in the US, so what you are really doing is picking a 335, adding options packages to it and then moaning its $13k more than a base G37.

Yea, good one.

Either way what does it matter, we live in the UK. I have demonstrated that in the UK, the 335i Coupe is the SAME PRICE as a G37 Coupe. The SAME price. Thats PARITY. EQUAL.

You appear to have absolutely nothing of any value to add this thread, can you please focus your time on the equally futile task of arguing about the Integra instead?
