if you look at all my other posts you will see that im abit of a noob when it comes to PC Hardware,

Could someone recomend me some ram for this board?

wanting approx 8 gig ish

Should've asked someone who knows what they're talking about :p

See my post above.

I only just decided to check the manufacturer page  Was being lazy.

But any kits with 4gb sticks will not work. You need kits with 2gb sticks, so you will need to order two of these: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-203-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517

EDIT:

You can, but then it won't run in dual channel. You need 2/4 sticks to run in dual channel mode.

so both of these wont be compatable?

As far as I can see neither of those are compatible.

You can check the user manual on the Asus Website (I can't access it at work) but I belive the maximus size stick of RAM you can use is 2GB so four of those for the board's maximum capacity of 8GB.

No.
Don't take memory which is not present in QVL. Striker series was very picky regarding to memory installed.

I've got very good Corsair Dominator 1800 MHz 2x2 GB modules which perfectly work with S2E (which I've had) and which have potential to overclock CPU and get 1:1 FSB:MEMORY ratio which means they work synchronously (linked & synced in BIOS). Even if you don't want to o'c, they work at 1333 MHz with extremely low CL 6 and voltage 1.66 V (1333 = FSB for most s775 CPUs).

If you want to sell something then list it in the Members Market only.
