Ye don't do it through origin, people having problems with it. Do it manually using the method Deception used above
 
Took 24 hours to download from Origin for me, kept getting disconnected! Ive had a chance to play Single Player for a couple of hours, its not bad at all, not tried MP yet.

I paid amazon to get it here for delivery date - tomorrow, but even now Amazon still have me listed as: Dispatching Soon.... come on!!!

I just want it here for the weekend, even though my damn girlfriend thought it was too geeky to book a day off work to play so booked a holiday over the period deliborately. uurggh! so currently over 100 miles from home hoping to get back on saturday to find it waiting for me.
 
I'm still running the original BF3 BETA drivers for my 460. I've downloaded the new ones but havnt installed them yet. Are they worth installing or are they just going to give me grief?
 
Just installed my retail copy, entered the serial and activated it and everything went fine apart from the obvious fact that i have to wait until tomorrow to play it :D

Just seen the crazy 6990 price on forum too, was going to get another 6950 2gb which would have been just over £400 on two gfx cards.
£500 for a 6990 is amazing. Only one left now out of 5 !!
 
Anyone who has played the beta or release version of the game can tell me how the game would run with a...

Quad core cpu with a ati 5770 and 4 gigs of ram @ 1680x1050 Medium/High type settings etc

I got a feeling it will be ok, im happy if it will run just like Bad Company 2 did but really not sure what to expect as i didn't try the beta.
 
Yeah you should be fine, my brothers on a E8600 @ 4.3Ghz with a HD4890 with 4gig of ram and plays comfortably on high though that is dx10.1 but I'd imagine itd be similar for you esp as you have a quad core.

Buy it off Origin?! Or i used CSJ CD Keys, bought the Russian version and got the key straightaway, downloaded via Origina dna activated today, also changed to English version very easy.
