Guys ,

Been playing BF3 now and can get a constant 45-50 FPS on Multiplayer with my ATI 5870 on high settings with 16XAF

My rigg is as follows.

Dell U2410 so : 1900X1040
I5 750 @3.8
4gb of DDR3 1200 Ram
ATI 5870

Now I cant see many definitive benchmarks for this game yet so I will ask the question ,

1. Should I add another 5870 for Xfire so I can play on Ultra ?

2. Do i buy a 580GTX to play ? I want to be able to play on Ultra with all settings maxed out .

3. Do i buy the BenQ 24 inch 120 HZ monitor and the extra 5870 ?

Are you happy with the performance you currently have? I assume 'room for improvement' has entered your mind?

Do you take your online gaming quite seriously? If so, then if you feel the need for a better monitor then I would consider a 120Hz.

See how the reports of 5870 CF go once its released and tweaked etc, then maybe consider adding another (should work out cheap as chips and could be a great move if two scale well). If it looks like it won't be worth buying a second and you're really not happy with one 5870 then think about a new gpu or wait for the next gen.

Depends what case and PSU you have too, 5870 crossfire add a bit heat and use more power, so if you don't have a decent PSU a GTX 580 maybe a cheaper update.

I am interested in feedback you receive on that monitor as I want an improvement now, however am not willing to buy a card until next generation as my GTX 275 still performs well.

I like the idea of 120hz.

120hz monitor + one more 5870 is not a bad deal, because 120hz means more pictures per frame or sumthin but litterally you see more when you game. 5870 CF is not bad they will give enough power for the games now and the future

are you sure its a dell u2410 as thats 1920x1200, most monitors these days are 1920x1080 none I've seen are 1900x1040 ;)

might be better waiting for the new cards.

Why do i seem to be getting the same performance as people with a 580? I have a GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr and getting 45fps + with everything on ultra and 1080p, well shadows is on high, but there is no increase in performance if i drop it all down to high..

I fancy upgrading to the 580 but doesn't look like it's worth it, I was expecting 60 fps+ constant.
