Hey guys. Can I install Origin on a mechanical drive and VF3 on my ssd? Do they need to be on the same drive? Or is it like steam where I will need to set up symbollox links? Installing from dvd by the way.

Origin can be installed wherever you want. You can specify in the options where the games get installed to.

Someone earlier in this thread asked "how do I flash my card?" for my Gigabyte 560ti OC all I did was went to the gigabyte website. Put in my gfx details then downloaded the September bios, screeched it to desktop then clicked the .exe file and sat back till finished. (about a minute)
Hope this helps others out as I was so close to RMA.

No worries thanks for the info. I checked my BIOS before and after flashing and was dissapointed to find its the exact same version, 70.24.11.00.1

Would you mind posting your BIOS version please?

Mortar is good fun . but virtually no splash damage so need to be pretty accurate . Reliant on yer team mates spotting . Have to be carefull where you place it as the mortars can bounce off walls and needs to be pointing in the direction of the enemy as it only has a small sweep angle . Also once its down its a pain to pick up plus when in use you are a prime target to get knifed .

Works best on metro rush but its not gonna get you uber scores but it can help in a decent team to clear mcoms etc once set as can spam the location to stop it being unarmed .

hoax, i asked in game on the way home and they scanned the pc game as they did not know, £35 quid but then she said it might be different in the morning.

Headphones with the next option down switched off. Something about surround or stereo etc.

It'd be a different matter if it could not be activated tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure I read, a few hundred pages back, that the UK release date has now been changed and activation can now go ahead before the 28th

Question is? Has it really? Or was this just a complete internet myth?

myth, although some people's did unlock today for whatever reason

if the activation servers were working, i'd say 'do the vpn trick to unlock it'

I'm hoping and a praying some of the past few posts about problems arn't going to be the Norm, but going off past Battlefield launches, come 12o'clock it's going to be MELTDOWN in the server rooms and plenty of keyboard twiddling while you try and get a half decent, few hour game.

Not going to stop me enjoying this though, just added the BF3 box to all my other BF boxes, makes me smile looking back at them and even remembering old games from as far back as BF1942..

All was fine until I started to get "kicked by server admin". It happens everytime I join about 1 minute into the game. Nevermind, hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Glad I activated using the Korean VPN trick anyways
