Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Guys please can someone explain what is going on? Yesterday was fine but today I'm constantly getting "kicked by server admin" or "disconnected by server". Have followed forum threads and updated PB as instructed but it does nothing.

What is going on?

Same here, play on no Pb servers is the only was I can play now
 
i think its becoming obvious why EA staggered the release of this across countries

They've tried to balance the load placed on the Origin servers as people pre loaded, loaded, and did their release date checks etc..

The servers just can't handle the load, even with the staggering

Wonder what the sales figures are across all platform for the Week ? BF3blog was reporting they had over 3 million pre orders. So thats 3 million sold on launch day already. Plus those that just wander in and buy it on the day. I reckon they will easily have sold 5 million + units by monday.

Was going well till the server fell over.. so this voip malarky? mumble? or the in-game system anyone used it?
 
Wouldn't surprise me if the retail sales far surpassed the numbers of the beta.

The beta already had twice as many players as BC2, so its a huge increase in server load for them.
 
As servers are having final touches i'll be monitoring it so any maps which do lag more than others will be removed. Multiplay are installing and doing updates on many of their servers currently but should be done hopefully by tomorrow ready for the official realease

If anything they did EA a favour, thats less UK clients loading the servers today / tomorrow

The servers appear to be overloaded right now with all the retail versions they are trying to activate.
 
So whats the verdict on 64 player maps are they anything like BF2 (huge and spread out) I have read a that the capture zones are close together unlike in BF2

Indeed, that is why i said i hope it is ok tomorrow, when it is officially released. Though tomorrow there will be many, many more players of course.
