Ok, so today I removed the Sony 6 CD Changer from my 2007 Focus and replaced it with a Pioneer AVH-3300BT. Problem I'm having is getting the fascia setup.
I was advised that I need to buy the following Fascia fitting kit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250442423...e-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1#ht_2214wt_1344.
Only thing I've used out of this so far is the foam pads and the large surround
The inner surround that comes with that fascia kit doesn't lock in place so I'm using the surround that comes with the Pioneer. This all seems to fit together, but only when I don't screw the stereo to the cage. Either I'm doing something stupidly wrong, or it's the wrong fascia kit.
I've only ever fitted a single DIN stereo and in that case it was a matter of slide in cage, bend the pegs to lock it in place and then slide the stereo in.
With the Pioneer, the head unit screws into the top and bottom of the cage from the front. The surround then clips onto a couple of clips on the top and bottom of the cage.
Is it likely that I should fit the fascia plate first and then slot the cage in? Why can they not standardise these bloody things? Am I being stupid, should the fascia get fitted BEFORE the cage gets inserted with the cage holding the fascia in?
