Got back from the midnight release at Gamestation which is literally 30 seconds from my door as I live in the centre of town. 360 LE with the PWP. Fairly sure my online order wasn't coming today so as I had it booked off decided to pre-order from GS wednesday. Luckily my friends copy came from Tesco so he came round and we played MP for about 4 hours without problems, bit of lag here and there but fine. Decided to go to the midnight release as new I would be awake and as its that close why not, knew the servers were down before I left but fairly sure the 30 or so people in front and behind me didn't :p

One thing that REALLY annoyed me was half way in the queue I realised they were charging £42.99 for the LE and £39.99 for STD which is a complete joke, as pre-ordering entitled you to the LE regardless unless they are trying to pass off the PWP as worth £3. Still as I was in the middle of the queue I wasn't gonna be the guy to walk out :(

Got back and got into a match instantly which surprised me, 3-0 and kicked, not been able to get on since. Had a look at Battlelog and noticed you can only invite friends from Origin into your platoon, they have completely removed the greyed out PS3/360 options from the first Beta (this version is still Beta apparently) so they have made it fairly useless for most console players who won't want to faff about with an Origin account to add their friends, me included :mad:
 
I say this is car crash material for people who might have got drawn into the hype....as I have done.. people talking about it on the forum, being excited..ya think.."ohh go on ill get it then".....

Now that could just be me....but with MW3 sitting right over there soon...**points**...and the people who where on the fence..this is kinda a mental deal breaker.

so you have to manage an origin account on a PC, add friends to it and then its possible to get grouped with friends? wow :o thats not that great imho (thats if ive got it correct mind...)
 
I played today with my ex work mates in the uk. Just got sent an invite and joined them on a uk server. That was on ps3.
 
Love it. Played some SP because MP was a no go, loved that, got to play some MP, loved that, too. Really, really.

People moan too much...the game is awesome.
 
For those that have managed to play online (PS3), how is it for playing with friends (ie getting in the same server, and on the same squad)? Are voice coms working properly?

Well... it’s everything I expected and more actually!

Played some SP last night (on hard – man is that punishing!) followed by a few hours on MP – and I’m totally blown away :D

Love it, could be the best in the series so far... and I was a mammoth BF2 fan (not that these ‘credentials’ really matter).

A few issues on MP, like lag and sound effects apparently cutting out, but overall, this feels like a very polished and complete game so far - well done Dice :)

Oh, and the sound affects are amazing :p

Edit: PS3 btw.

Worst idea ever of having a quick game before I set off for work... sitting here now wishing I could just go home! :(

Really good on MP. Had a quick go in the: Plane, Helicopter and Tank and they're all really nice :)

So to be people to play with your friends, you need to make an Origin account, add them to that via their GT and then you'll be able to invite them in-game? Sorry for being so stupid, just haven't really looked in to it yet!
 
Got my copy at 12.01 last night for the ps3, installed and by the time it was done, the servers were up, i did loose connection a few times.

it does feel a little less responsive then the beta, hopefully that will change once all the bugs are ironed out.
 
Quite confused, hope not being a n00b. But I have noticed I will play one game as attacker and my load out has all my attachments etec, then the next game I play I have no attachments just looking through my iron sights? How come??

You have to earn the extras for each team, and each kit. unlike bfbc2 where once it was unlocked it worked with everything.
 
So for example, you have a defender & attackers kits for everything? So what you may unlock on attack you won't have on defend?
Because I have noticed when attacking I have my extras, but when defending its totally different...

if you unlock a scope on assault for the us army, it wont be there for assault on the russian army you have to unlock it again.

its been done as on bfbc2 you had all unlock by level 25 if you were good, so this is to make it last for upto 100hrs before you have everything.

I cant believe there are already level33 players out there, and probably higher.

they really should release a game like this the same day world wide.
 
The texture pack is installed automatically on the ps3 (i was wondering the same earlier)
I've had no problems joining friends to squad up, but the voice comms do not work, i played some co op with my brother and the comms were perfect, so i think it must be their servers?
