Who said anything about handicapping players, how about some balance, this isn't about knowing how to play a FPS this is increasing the advantage yet again from just having more game time. I'd rather get beat by players that are better than me than by players that are average yet dedicate their lives to COD so have an advantage because they play more.

I guess you fall into that category so are over the moon.

The advantage you get from gears or Graw is game time, I'm not a fan of all this extra stuff for just playing longer.

Is this a new thing because it's never worked before, so If I stayed in the first prestige you honestly think this will match make me with similar levels. Don't make me laugh.

When a mate joined who was rank 10-40 it put us in lobbies with similar people to him as we were all partied. Maybe its not rank or prestige, but maybe it goes on game time. Certainly as a new player you get paired with new players, this is why people often re-start on new profiles.

People who don't prestige are the people with real advantage who sit at prestigue 1 max rank. They don't have the weapons and perks taken away from them.

Seems odd that you are complaining about something, which most people who play the game lots are happy to prestige, therefor voiding your point
People who don't play a lot arent prepared to cut back to basic weapons so they don't prestige and end up playing more time with lower equiptment.

I like your posts Danny, don't get me wrong. You make a lot of valid comments which I agree with, but sometimes you come across a bit negative and whiny complaining about things which aren't real issues.

Personally I like real rewards rather than just gamerpoints for playing a game and unlocking all the different things on offer.
 
A mate of mine has just received a PS3 'review' copy. He's not even a writer, he just has some Activision staff followed on twitter and chats occasionally.

i seem to be able to kill full rank players with the beginner guns perfectly fine, if you werent rewarded for playing more it would make the longevity of the game zero.

the system they have is in place to make people want to keep playing the game forever.

therefore its here to stay forever, and more games should have it.

i dont get this, i remember when psn first launched on the ps2, they picked people to become beta testers, it was shear luck whoever got in, they would send you all online games tha came out on psn to beta test, all you had to do to get a retail copy for free was find one bug in the game and report it then when the retail was launched they sent you one for free.

beta copies would stop working when the retail was launched and yo got the beta up to a year in advance sometimes, and sometimes even got several beta's to test.

i have signed up for many beta setups like this but never got in.

Yep, But it's also for the older games. I've prestiged in MW & Blops but didn't bother with MW2 as i didn't see the point. Now that i have one i'll be going on this weekend to prestige and play 1 game so it registers.
 
I need to pre order but I am also keeping toot on what the supermarkets are going to offer , suppose no harm in pre ordering now and I could send it back if supermarkets are cheaper . I want the hardened edition so doubt I will get that from a supermarket

It worked for me in MW2 when I made a new account for a free months gold, since I was only a level 1 I got paired with nothing but green emblems rank 25 or below and this carried on up until level 30 when I stopped playing that account.

But then again on my main account I get paired with nothing but new players who have prestiged one time or less and I'm on 9th (I'm usually the only higher ranked prestige in the lobby).

Tesco had the hardened edition for £65 but they seem to of took it down now. You can get the SD for £34.90 from there.

Interesting, it seems totally random for me. Even at level 55 I've often ended up with maxed out prestiges. On all of them so far I just assumed it didn't have any formal matchmaking where it looked at rank. The majority of my gameplay on MW2 was FFA and that never match made me.

Here's the updated prestige shop:

Custom Classes, Unlock Gear and the titles, emblems and challenges are all permanent unlocks and the Double XP/Weapon XP are temporary unlocks that last for 2 hours game time.

The unlock gear can be used to say unlock the Claymore with 1 token and then you have that unlock at the beginning of every single prestige from then on.
