Positive it's not downloading it because my disk drive is being used and internet activity is at 0%. At this rate it would be quicker to download it because it's installing it at just 500kb/sec.

Yes I saw it but it is installing it from the disk the light on the drive is constantly flashing and there is no internet being used.

Blooming nightmare this...............single player will not load up just get black screen, and on multiplayer keeps crashing 30 seconds into every server that i join! EA are........a-holes!

Shameless advertising. Been full but had to take it down a few times today to work on the back end. Got a smooth stream to PBBans running as well now. London based. Going to try and make it as much like BF2 as we can when we work out all the configs.

mmm was hoping the game would run worse than it is - as its pretty smooth at 40fps odd on ULTRA, 1900 with AA, I wanted to upgrade my CPU + Mobo

Q6600 @ 3.4, GTX 480 @ 810

I've not had the triangle artefacts since setting my textures to high rather than ultra, and from the looks all of the 2GB cards are handling it fine, which reinforces my belief that that issue is VRAM related.

Use post aa instead of deferred, and ssao for moar fps.
