I agree, I also don't want to use Origin but am forced to.

I just want to install & play, not have to go on-line each time and login to Origin each time.

They've done it then. They've pretty much matched COD.

Direct comparisons are very difficult because COD launches world wide on the same day, wheraas the release of BF3 was staggered, but to have reached 10 million sales in the first week is pretty special for the battlefield franchise, especially considering that BF2 took a year to Reach 2 million sales.

I got the Physical Warfare pack included as I got the LE box set.

Do I need to activate it on Orange? or are the guns unlocked once I get to a certain level?

you need the Key that came with the box to unlock it

It should be on the back of a leaflet that came in the box ?
 
This was definitely worth the wait. Loving it.

Will try and join one of the OcUK servers when there's room on them.
 
Only managed to get an hour in this evening, great game, love it so far.

Couple of quick questions though:

  • Why no zoom toggle?
  • Where do you set your push-to-talk key? I can't find it anywhere in the key bindings.
  • Anyone else getting green flashes on certain maps when you pan your camera around (this clears after a respawn)
  • How to get rid of the god awful lens flare?

Also, anyone know what the "optimal" settings are for multiplayer? ie. a nice balance between graphics quality and no over-the-top motion blur, lens flare and foliage?

1. Check in the "Gameplay" settings rather than KeyBindings, you can change how it works there.
2. No in-game VOIP yet, Dice are working on it.
3. Yes from time to time, updating my drivers as I type this.
4. Don't look directly into the sun :D
 
I bought the limited edition pack which includes Karkand etc. How do I play it, In battlelog its listed under BF3 as Expansion Pack Back to Karkand yet i can find no servers that have it.

It hasn't been released yet, I think people were talking about December for that.
