I took down a tank with it, then I went through a building, and tried to kill an enemy engi, who just sat there staring at me while I did lol. He had no idea what it was! I was in tears of laughter by the time I'd finally managed to run him down lol. They're tough to drive though.

Had some good craic with a few lads on mumble too, would be cool to get more people on there.

How did you manage to take down the tank?

Caspian, Firestorm are both pretty good.

I agree that first 5 maps you mentioned are indeed very good compared to the last 4.

I have been playing these maps mainly aswell.

In a rotation map server, whenever seine comes up I just switch to another server lol :p
 
LOL I've just realised, I've actually bought Halo instead of Battlefield. I thought I'd bought battlefield 3, but when I was putting 5-6 bullets into guys at close range and they weren't dying I realised they had shields....wait...no it is battlefield 3...


The damage in this game is f'in pathetic. I can put 4 pistol shots into someone standing right behind them only to have them turn around wildly spraying and down me. It's not uncommon for it to take 3 sniper shots to down someone if you're sniping from long distances with the weaker rifles, and it just took 6 UMP shots to down someone who was 50 yards down the street on seine crossing. It's almost gamebreaking.

UMP and pistols are getting buffed in the next patched
 
Battlefield 3 Server Admin

I thought a separate thread for those of us with servers to admin might be useful?

What can be used to admin your server?

I don't suppose there are any cool server mods available just yet?
 
I didnt have to touch mine, I flashed the BIOS but its the same version, put the new drivers on. The card is still runing the factory 900mhz OC and has 1gb of RAM and where the BETA would crash constantly the full game hasnt crashed one in over four hours of play
 
Does anyone else's game randomly minimises to a small window? Mine keeps on doing it every few minutes, sometimes to a full screen window and other times to a much smaller window.
 
I'm off to OC/UK to collect my pre-order, I would have got it last night were it not for mr Stobart & the M6 conspiring to keep me at work until past closing time.

I'm excited! about a sodding computer game! I'm 40 FFS! The last time I felt like this pre game purchase was Elite for my long lost BBC Computer, back in 1984!

Christ I feel old & sad - not sure if that has anything to do with BF3 mind you! :o :D

I think the BF3 maps suit rush much better, actually I prefer rush in BF3. I'm finding combat quite like bf2142 in many ways. With the conquest maps, flags are just too close together, it feels more "what's going on!?" due to this.

Had some great BF moments already; in one I was flying the su25 on Kharg and a chap with a stinger had a lock, I flew vertical to climb out of range with afterburner but was too late, as I looped inverted to take evasive manoeuvers the stinger hit the cockpit, killing me inside but the plane carried on flying out of control. Those funny things really make it BF for me :)
 
Well I am patiently waiting for my 6970 to arrive before diving in. I played about 30 secs into the level where you get out of the back of the APC, thought, "Hmm nice and smooth but I want to play this with everything on" and promptly shut down and went to bed.

Damn you OcUK for not dispatching my next day order on Thursday when you were supposed to!
