I've noticed that these are no longer available from OCUK. Is this because they are no longer made?

It was about the only case I liked the look of too!

It has been replaced with an updated version (PC-A05FN). Very similar but with USB3.0 and a top fan mount.

OcUK listed it briefly, but never had any stock that I saw.

I'm planning to buy one at some point.

The new A05 doesn't have the inverted motherboard layout the old design had. You can still get the old version new if you're willing to google. I'm personally looking a both and seeing which will fit my needs better. There is something very satisfying about being able to build a full atx rig inside a case have the size of most.

The older version is available on couple of sites.

I've been looking at reviews and build logs of this case and I like what I've read and seen so far, considering on getting this but I'm not sure on whether should I get the old or new version. (Normal MB layout vs inverted MB layout)

The idea of fitting an ATX motherboard in a small case appeals to me and will give me a bit more space on the desk. (Placing the case under the desk isn't an option for me, unfortunately.)

Sorry for double posting but I've just received my A05FNB (the version with MB 'the right way')

If I can remember to take pictures when building it, I'll post a build log. :>

By the way, can anyone confirm if the top fan slot is 120mm or 140mm? I'm getting mixed information from various review sites. (I haven't opened it yet and can't for few more hours.)

I love my A05B, the extra space is awesome. The FN seems better though, due to the way the USB ports are placed. On top is awful for my situation.

I have to have inverted mobo though for it to work effectively where its placed.

lian li's own site say the top fan slot is for 140mm. Can you get a ruler out and measure the actual width of the top fan slot, I've been musing about what I could do with this case and it kinda hinges on how wide the opening is.

The width of the hole? It's 126mm (doesn't look right but that's what the measurement says) but it's 140mm fan slot, just as Lian Li says, just fitted BeQuiet!'s 140mm Shadow Wings fan there.

The cooling is surprisingly good, a lot better than I expected.

With my previous case, Cooler Master Storm Enforcer - CPU under load = 59c, GPU under load = 80c~

With A05FNB - CPU under load = 52c, GPU under load = 75c and it's much quieter.

Looking at the results, looks a bit odd, considering the air flow used in A05FNB, I expected it to be a degree or two hotter.

Gonna make a new thread and post pictures soon. (After I've eaten something :P)

Cable management without a modular PSU is a nightmare with this case ):

i have an A05b.

Cooling is very limited. If you go for a high-end GPU.

I had to get a new top panel with 140mm fan placement and cut a hole in the bottom so the psu could get clean air. Then it can cool anything pretty well.

Was thinking of selling it soon, just fancy a change i guess.

Ta, I was thinking of putting 2 120mm fans up there for additional cooling and if the gap I need to fill is only 126mm wide then plenty of radiator grills will span that. Of course I could always put 2 140mm fans there and no problem. Choices.
