I liked how jets were in bf2 handleing wise.The flight ceilings are Crap also i forgot the name of the map but its a small town and the us spawn on a carrier, the flight ceiling is SO LOW your so low to the ground when you stall on that map.
If bf3 had the flight mechanics of bf2 the looks of now and some of the extras like the way the jets shake etc it would be great.

BUT NOOOOooooo They had to make jets in bf3 like playing Tom Clancy's HAWX!!!

I kinda agree with this.

Once enemy jet is behind you then it is very difficult getting them off your back. May be it's to do with knowing where they are in relation to your position. Possibly air radar can help track their location but haven't unlocked it yet.

While they are behind your back, you just keep hearing the dreaded lock-on beeps and try your best to out manoeuvre them but majority of the time they are still behind you lol.

I'll also remind everyone again, if the server is empty and on the right map then your free to drive around on your own to try out the vehicles if you haven't been able to already. If you want to fly a helicopter and it isn't the right map, add me to Battlelog - Jam0r - and I'll try and change it for you.
 
anyone else still getting kicked out of servers every 20 mins or so?

I have torture tested my rig, just to ensure its stable.

Have updated punk-buster.

Looks like there are posts on the EA forum about it but, no discussion on fixes.
 
guys im getting microstuttering when i aim with mouse.

anyone else getting this? i plugged in abox 360 controller and its smooth.
ive tried a brand new wired roccat kova plus gaming mouse still the same so it not wireless interferance.....?
i have a video on youtube showing it its under title.
BF3 Help me youtubers please micro stuttering. its only 25 secs have a look.

IM STUCK!
 
Hi guys, headache for my head, so i bought bf3 it works OK in single player but whenever i try to join any multiplayer game the game don't starts, it's loading up and sometimes i get problem saying connection to the server has timed out, sometimes it looks like it has connected (in the browser is says PLAYING) but no BF3 has been launched, i updated my PB client... so what do i need to do els to get this ..... working, it;s the first time i can't get something to work for me :/

how are you loding the game? are you quick match or going into server browser and selecting one manually?
Just asking as when i quick match it doesnt let me play. i have to go in and select on manually to get a game.

Quite a few people in the thread have mentioned disabling uPnP helping fix their disconnects. Some others have mentioned that fiddling with DMZ worked. Also might want to enable the ports the game uses if you haven't in case one/some of them are getting blocked.

its a programming error from dice.
low sensitivity makes the mouse stutter.
its to be fixed but when heh.
solution as now is to raise the sensitivity.
dosnt fix it but makes it useful for now.

dice said the game is done, its still in beta if you ask me.
 
Up until now, my main game has been the entire CoD series, although I had bf2142, didnt like it....and also bf2, didn't put that many hours into it either really. So coming to this I was quite amazed at how difficult it is to start with, you pretty much have to accept the many deaths you acquire until you rank up a couple of levels/achieve early unlocks. I think I have found my niche now though, sniping or the good old lmg for racking up the kills.
As for vehicles, tanks...I hit him, he hits me, I hit him, he hits me....I blow up...wtf is that about?
Jets, have no prob flying one, I use a logic 3 gamepad, but up until now I have killed absolutely no one....I rake various flags/bases and don't even get an assist...lol. I have piled a few rounds into tanks but have normally overshot them before creating any real damage. Haven't even come across a heli anywhere, as I am still finding my way round the maps.

I have no game problems, like a lot of people seem to have but there is one thing I cannot get to work....in game video tab. Whenever I click on the video tab, nothing happens, the video properties do not open, it just sits there, until I alt+tab out, where I am presented with a battlefield 3 has stopped working box. I haven't even seen what my settings are as of yet. I did go into the config file, like I would do with CoD, but it looks so much more complicated to read through.
I have tried various searches on the web but I can't seem to find anyone else suffering from this.....Hell I know its not the end of the world, as its playing sweet but I want to be able to change video settings if I want to.
My rig for info is 2500k @ 4.4ghz, 8gb corsair xms3 @ 1600mhz, gigabyte z68 xp - ud3 and a single HIS ATI Radeon HD 6950 IceQ X Turbo 2048MB.
Running 64bit Win7, all fully up to date. Have tried using 11.10 drivers, 11.9 and 11.10 preview 3 but its still the same....think my next step could well be a fresh bf3 install, if I have a spare 2hrs to kill.....
I presume my rank/stats are saved, upon reinstalling but is this locally or server side?

Overall I love this game, at the moment I am a still a bit of a lone wolf, I know, its all about squads, but I don't really understand how a squad communicates with each other, other than by type chat....not ideal. As I get more into it, I shall look more into squads, as my lad tells me that's a good way to rack up the points.

PS. Note to EA/Dice.....ffs let us customize our classes outside of the game.
 
How do I add other battlefield games to my vet status on battle log? Atm it only has bc2 and bf3 on there, other people have managed to put other BFs they've played there, how do I?

Also sin_chase, what's the turn sharply method?
