Battlefield 3 - odd one out?

didnt want to be the odd one out so just thought id make another battlefield 3 thread for the people who dont have it, so we can discuss how much we dont know about or even how much we do know about due to the 40 billion other threads on here .....

Buy the game immediately!

It's drastically improved over the beta, none of the odd animation glitches or hit reg problems :) It's much more smooth and cleaner. None of the issues that were in the beta are present in the final game.
 
Smoother and cleaner? Sounds good, that was my main issue with beta, felt clunky and awkward, not enjoyable at all... ill pick it up next week then :D

The gameplay is exactly the same however, so if you didn't like the beta there's a good chance you might not like the final release. That said, there has been a lot of improvements to the base game since then (but unfortunately also some other teething problems such as server crashes and random crashes to desktop).
 
PC version kills the PS3 version graphically. But tbh, I wouldn't have bought BF3 if I hadn't read all the hype surrounding it. I'm more of a Quake/Half Life/Unreal/Far Cry/Crysis gamer

I think my main issue with the beta was hit reg and instantly dying when spotted, not having chance to return fire or take cover... if you know what i mean! But i take it those issues are sorted, read a few reviews and watched videos which looked good...

btw is the ocuk platoon full yet, none of my friends play on the pc so the whole social aspect is a bit usless for me :p
 
I was going to wait till christmas to get it, but my specs are pretty low.

AMD x2 Dual-core 7950 BE @ 2.80 Ghz
GTX 260
6GB RAM

Upgrades I want will cost me near £350 on a budget. I can wait!
 
Since this is a PC-ish forum, how do I convince my friends to get BF3 on their PC's instead of on consoles, FPS'ers are supposed to be played on PC's but they don't see it like that, they're all PS3 gamers, who think the PS3 is the ultimate gaming machine lol
