Maybe we need to define what is meant by working out, there will never be 100% acceptance of everything but I'd settle for such attitudes being viewed as an unpleasant anachronism or leftover by the majority. If that were to happen then I reckon we've made progress as a society.

I just think "coloured" is a weird term. Just call them black, asian, indian... .

It takes longer to list all ethnicity's.

Yeah it's kind of racist, but it depends on the person, same with Black people calling other people Negro's.

I think for the most part we already have. Look at how well 2nd/3rd generation immigrants have integrated (although obviously not in the OPs opinion).

I suspect most of the people kicking up a fuss have a beef with the current crop of East European immigrants. I know that where I live, for example, we've recently had rather a lot of Romanians move into the area and they're causing a lot of tension with their behaviour.

Yup, West Indians and Indians came to the country after WW2 and helped rebuild the country, In Wigan alone the council had to spend money on interpretors for 27 different languages, that is far to many cultures and people coming into a small working class town.

contradiction much? you concede that they helped rebuild the country post ww2, and then say there's too many different cultures.
