Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Right need some input,

Going to be getting another server setup for the masses to play on.

Due to the current issue of rubber banding on some 64 player servers, I was thinking of getting a 48/52 man server set up.

Any preferences on what setup to run or just another Conquest server?

If you search for "jet" in the server browser you will find a couple of servers which have auto-respawn on jets and helis for practicing in usually with no player limit also.
 
Has anyone else noticed the immense death you can cause on Siene Crossing by blowing the front of buildings up onto peoples heads?

I got a triple kill yesterday by doing this.

I was pinned down behind come cover, so decided to launch a rocket up at the building above the guys shooting at me, it came crashing down and BOOM triple kill :)

Absolutely immense.

I have since had many many kills by doing this.

I have also noticed that if someone is inside a building with a front that will blow off, do not fire a rocket inside the window, instead, fire it at the concrete on the outside, building will then blow out and kill the occupants inside.


I am absolutely loving this game, almost level 30 now and I have had some cracking battlefield moments so far.

Am also loving being a pilot :) both jet and helicopter, using mouse and keyboard seems to be the way to do it, and it's great being on vent with my gunner and raping the other teams armor.
 
Actually you can type 'practice' in to the server browser to find plenty of servers available for flying practice. Many of them are passworded but i have found some that aren't.

Surely wait for this issue to be sorted and get a 64 man for future proofing? :)

Don't know how long it will take them to fix it, so why not get something that works and run it on a monthly contract until the issue is fixed.

Then when the issue is fixed, switch to 64 ;)

Caspian, Kharg, Canals, Damavand, and Operation Firestorm, also Tehran Highway when it's fixed! Hell I actually love Damavand Peak now mainly because of the chopper, which can turn the game around completely.

Rush is trash!

Jesus some of you have given the game up after few days and uninstalled,not proper Battlefield players you ever were imo,glory game band wagon players.
 
Slightly annoying, there is a multiplay server for flying practice with no one in it and no player number requirement, first it was on Grand Bazaar and now it is on Tehran Highway!!! (i don't think there are aircraft on TH?? I only played it once)

Bit harsh but there is something in it i think. Loads of players who have been playing BF2 for years and have mastered every little thing in the game are now playing a new game where everyone has started out the same and they are getting killed more often, It must be the game, it is crap!!:p

I just think they are not given the game a chance,not even a week later,play more get more unlocks win more maybe,become a better player,a few patches down the line and it will be fine,not that it's much broken now:)
 
The only issue i have is some of the maps are not as good as in BF2 or BC2. Metro rush is THE worst rush map i have played, RPG and nade spam down the stairs or round corners!! I sat back and just watched everyone get blown up time and time again.
