So far so good in that I've downloaded 97% of the game :) Impressive that Origin has maxed my pitiful connection pretty much the whole time

8 minutes...
 
Anyone elses game occasionally dying between map loads? The screen goes black as normal but I don't get the flashing square in the bottom right hand corner of the screen and I end up having to ctrl+alt+del :(

I was getting that a lot for the first few days but haven't had it since. No idea what i did to fix it though as i tried so many 'fixes' for the various issues the game had.

lol get out man,i am defending the game that it all,battlefield has allways been a game you have to put hours in,not a quick fix,the game rewards you for play time,a lot of play time,not a few days and thinking its rubbish,is this the state of gaming we have come to.
I can i assure you i am none of the above,unlike some on these boards:eek:

Its getting harder to take down jets since they've unlocked stealth and the flare reload IMO is too quick. If they have stealth equipped the lock on time for stingers or the AA vehicles literally doubles, so you can fake them the first time, but by the time you reacquire the lock they have flares ready to deflect the second missiles. Pretty much takes a couple of people to be firing at them to get them inbetween the flare reloads which only seems to be around 8-10 seconds at most. There should be an unlock to make the missiles faster, or have a counter to the stealth.

There's a different tone for the pilots as well. Being tracked is a steady beep, locked is constant, and incoming missile is a very fast high pitched beep, so the intelligent ones won't panic and fire flares when you lock. I love it seeing people panic though as an engi. Feels so good to get a lock on a transport chopper, for the pilot to instantly go panic mode, fire flares and lose control. Yeah I'm evil :p

Really, who thought up all this Battlelog crap? To play the game, I have to start Origin. Then launch the "game" which actually just a web based server browser. Then, I click my server which loads the game.

So each time I want to change servers, I have to shut the whole game engine down. Which I hate doing, because half the time, it will crash when starting up again!

Surely its better to just leave the game engine running and use an in game browser.

No, I join the same server again if it crashes. This has only happened 2 or 3 times mind. Everyone was kicked, not just me.

It seems I'm not suffering anything like the number of problems you're having. Battlelog works fine. It takes a while to load the map the first time you run the game but the following matches load pretty quickly, even when I leave one server and move to another. I still experience some lag but as I understand it it's server wide and will eventually be fixed.

So far loving the game, it's not perfect, like the hype train wanted to believe but it has me coming back for more. I have had some truly memorable firefights since monday. :)
