Out of interest what is it you work at?

And where abouts in belfast are you, I think you where on mumble last night?

I actually didn't know you had to click in the mouse section. Normally you just click to change and it autodetects on other games.. Will give that a go tonight! Thanks :)

i had similar but also with red and blue flashing mini triangles from the mini map lol.....guess i should have more breaks.

Im happy to say the new ati drivers have also stopped my crashing problems and in single player i can now actually see what buttons on quicktime events im supposed to press on the mouse instead of it just all lighting up red :p

I'm a freelance translator / air ambulance pilot (yes, weird combination), originally from Belgium, moved to UK 6 years ago, lived in London and Oxford, now based near Belfast International airport, marrying a lovely English lady next year ;)
Was on Mumble for a bit to try it out, eavesdropped on you guys for a bit to see how it works in practice!
Should really do some more work, but the closer a deadline comes, the more it focuses the mind... Hopefully should get some time in tomorrow evening, unless I get a call-out.

Yup a lot of people where doing this and not realising you have to bind them in the mouse section.

I should get you to collect my parcels from the citylink link depot at the airport and personally deliver them to me in your chopper!

Oh.. and it looks like pigs really can fly then... Myth busted!

Haha, funny thing is, I never fly planes or choppers in the game. Just hate the silly mechanics of it all, but then again I dislike proper flight sims too, just doesn't feel like the real thing, even with a joystick. Yesterday happened to be the pilot of a chopper against my will, with two people in the back. Stress levels went up like in a real plane with all the responsibility for your passengers, but at least I managed to fly it down that map where you need to jump down, put it down on the landing site and armed the objective. Should really do some more practice in the chopper as it didn't seem too bad compared with the jet, which I find ridiculous to control so I never bother.
 
Anyone finding the maps pretty small, except for caspian boarder.

Operation Firestorm seems about the same size as BFBC2 if not smaller, most maps seem so close together.

for example harvest day, this is a long duration map with a ticket rate of about 1000.

i'm hoping the return of kirkand will bring back the old bf2 style maps and 24/7 severs, nothing more anoying than enjoying a map and before you know it's over
