2500k, but what mobo and ram?

So I'm thinking of upgrading to the above cpu, but have no clue as to which mobo/ram combo would work best with it.

8GB RAM is fine for me, and not looking to spend more than £300, so after £160 for the chip, that leaves £140 for the mobo/ram.

Show me what ya got!

The RAM RJC linked is the one to get today but the price goes back up tomorrow morning.

Unless you're buying now it's best to look what's on offer on the day you buy.

Ok, cpu and ram bought, but I'm having some trouble with a motherboard.

I need a PATA port and crossfire capabilities, and there aren't many affordable options with that.

I need PATA for my DVD-RW, and shelling out £20 on a SATA one won't work as I am out of SATA power cables from my PSU

Any ideas?
