I had to use firefox to get online, IE wont let me
In bfbc2 I used fov setting 59 to get 90 fov is this the same for bf3 ?
I did set as 90 in the setting but I think that it's putting me at a disadvantage at mid-long range trying to shoot my targets lol.
So for 1080p should I leave the fov settings at 60?
Thanks.
I am confused, what makes you think your FOV is giving you a dis-advantage at long range? Do you play with a low res?
'Generally'...I have never had that problem really...maybe I don't see them at all
Seriously though, I have never noticed any 'real' difference, I play at a higher res then you also. I guess it comes down to what you are used to and maybe how good your eyesight is![]()

I play at 1920x1080.
But I think the higher fov you go the enemies seem smaller/harder to hit.
I might just try 60 or 70 see how it goes.
Thanks.
Going by the calculator for BC2 a FOV of 59 is ideal for 1920x1080. I've set mine to 60 in game but i can't really tell any difference tbh.
Meh, some git on [XSG] Conquest can't practise planes - how you meant to get unlocks for planes when others already have seekers?
Painfully.
Painfully.
Becomes easier once you unlock the IR Flares - but that's a chore also.![]()
The flares also become quickly redundant - there are simply too many ground units (infantry and mobile AA) that can lock you and annoy you. Flares reload pretty fast but still not fast enough for the utter clusterf*ck that the claustrophobic maps create. As soon as you get the extinguisher you'll find that's a much better unlock... by then you'll hopefully have learned the way of the "cut throttle 180 turn" evasive technique, too![]()
