As could be expected, the Eurozone leaders - primarily German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicholas Sarkozy - have intensified pressure on Greece, saying that the small nation will not get a single Euro from the new bailout fund until it decides to stay in or get out.

However, the sight of any nation leaving the EU would be a massive victory for the various freedom movements around Europe and would shatter the illusion that once in you can never get out.

Please take a look at the video below. It demonstrates in graphic detail the duplicity and lies of David Cameron.

All i see is him saying he wants a referendum to bring powers back to Britain, not that he wants a referendum to get out of the EU.

If I remember correct he is still persuing getting back some of our powers from them, so wheres the lie?

There's nothing, as far as I am aware, preventing a country leaving the EU if they want. The EU can't make a country remain a member if it wants to decide it's own destiny.

The process to leave is long, convoluted and arguably set up to prevent a country from leaving.

The promise of a referendum on the Lisbon treaty was always on the proviso that it had not been ratified. As it was ratified prior to the current government coming in to power there was then no point in having a referendum to something we had already signed up to.

Even if there was a referendum, the question to vote on would be worded in such a way as to leave people no choice.
