The tariffs for Orange iPhones are terrible, the Panther tariff offers 1GB data with tethering as standard along with swapables and 900 minutes at £35pm. Has anyone managed to swap, as technically there is no difference between an iPhone or a HTC?

Well I have just changed to Panther 36 tariff, it's the same price except I now get 900 minutes with 1GB of data that can also be used towards tethering at no extra cost. I am very happy.

I do have an iPhone yes, let me clarify.

Orange offer tariffs "designed" for iPhones; 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb of data for £36 a month without tethering included.

They also offer a similar tariff for other smart phones such as HTC's. This tariff is the same price as the iPhone tariff (panther 35) but offering 900 minutes, unlimited text with 750mb of data which can be used to tether whereas the iPhone tariff is 500mb without tethering included.
They try and tell you that this tariff is not compatible with the iPhone but this is nonsense.

As a result I am now get 250mb more data to use with tethering and the extra 300 minutes all for the same price.

I have gone for a contract through Three 16GB iPhone 4s £99 Charge then £35 per month for Unlimited Internet, 2000 Minutes and 5000 texts, how are people finding the network three?

In regards to the Panther Tariff, how far in to your existing contract were you before you changed to the Panther 35?

I have just taken out an iPhone 4s on Orange on their iPhone 36 tariff

Around 4 weeks, and it's 1GB of data

So you just called up and asked them to change it? Odd thing is looking at the Orange website they don't be the Panther 36 with 900 minutes for £36, I can only see 600 minutes for £36.

Pretty good deal you got there, if it includes Tethering as well even better :)

I'm on Panther 50 that I get for £30 a month. I was using HTC but in order to get a Micro sim they had to add another £10 1GB bundle on to my account to get it through their system apparently. This bundle will be removed after two months though.

What type of connection speeds are you getting on your iPhone with the Panther 50 tariff?

They supposedly limit the speeds on the iPhone tariffs through the APN settings to balance the load.

May have to change my tariff in that case. I do have an iPhone though, wonder if they will allow me to change. Only one way to find out. Its odd how they don't publicise that tariff if you have an iPhone.
