So I leave my house in a hurry today, it's nice and dark and I'm late for training so it takes a good 3 minutes driving before i notice the 2 parking tickets on my windscreen, completely unexpected. I start to look for a place to pull over to take them off my windscreen before they blow away... but before I can one blows away.

I pull over 30 yards down the road, jump out and try and find it. It's dark, cars zooming past, after 10 minutes I call it quits.
Get back home from training, open up one remaining ticket. It says
"Parked in a special enforcement area adjacent to a dropped footway"
Now I did leave in a hurry, but i always make sure I avoid dropped kerbs, as I saw someone getting towed for it near where I live once.
And again, I was in a hurry and it wasn't until I left that I saw the ticket, so I didn't double check exactly how I was parked, but this is how I remember it.

The red bits are the dropped kerb, the blue is my car. I just went back to check out the space again, there was a car parked further to the left than I was, and he wasn't overlapping the top dropped kerb.
So if anything I felt I was guilty of overhanging the junction. But is that ticketable? Has the traffic warden just put in any old reason for the offence and I should pay it? Or should I challenge it? Have already been onto the Bristol City Council website, says no pictures available for this incident at this time. And thoughts about the missing ticket?
Really don't want to have to shell out £70, my student loan is getting short as it is.
Thanks for any help
