Looks really good polished up and with the black panels. Contemplating doing this to my DHD but not sure it would suite it quite as well as the Sensation?

Maintaining that kind of finish will be hard though, fine scratches on chrome will marr it with webbing in no time. Glossy plastic is bad enough but metal? even worse!

My original nokia 8800 is still shiny, and its been rattling round drawers and boxes for years! I guess you could just give it a thin protective layer of something like plastidip?

Probably yeah, or a coat of automotive wax but I don't know how lasting that would be from hand grease and so on.

I will also triple confirm.

As for maintaining, the metal polish used by the modder contains a silicone sealant to stop the chrome from dulling. Whether it can withstand pocket abuse, who knows, but I always have my phone in it's own pocket. Or you could go with the brushed look instead of perfect shine.
