** OFFICIAL Football Manager 2012 Thread **

I'm half tempted to stick the face pack on usenet, but not sure if the guys who sorted them out would appreciate it. Can't see why though.
 
Well got grouped up for the Champions League and have Barcelona in my group arghhhh!

Barcelona
Tottenham
Sparta Prague
Ajax

Managed to have 20 chances on goal against Barcelona in my opening match, but failed to score and managed to lose 1-0 but the boys done well. Hopefully pick up for the next couple of matches!
 
Started a new game as PSG. Spent a lot of money, but shipped out a lot of players so got a very small squad. De Rossi, Rossi, Tevez, Srna, Baines, Chellieni (sp), Honda. Doing very well, aiming to win everything, can't see anyone in the Europa League giving me any troubles. Currently 2nd behind OM, had a few weird losses and some rubbish draws but still got to play them again so I'll give them a good seeing to.

Can't wait until the end of the summer, got myself a good few scouts so going to go regent hunting. Looking on other forums it seems Germany produces some kick ass regens, so going to build up a good youth system for the future.
 
Continued on my game as rangers from the demo, pretty impressed with how well im doing, sitting top near end of season 8 points ahead of celtic, jelavic is pretty good in it, hes scored as many goals as appearences and i signed kenny miller in the january window since i needed a new striker, he's playing phenomenal, scored a hat trick in every other game.

will probably start a new game as well with a lower division english team at sompoint.
 
Started a new game to try something different out and after the second friendly half my team is injured. I ended up playing my spare keeper as a defender :(

Goddamn you Newcastle.

Might clear that and start as my home town to see how far I can take them.

Just search players with the filters of age 'at most 19' & value at most £1m or £500k what ever you fancy. Or have you scouts, scout a nation with an age 'at most 19' filter on. :)

I think the regen dates are different to last years, but most get created during the summer.
 
just lot on pens to chelsea in the league cup, not that big of a deal. hungry to win the double/treble this season. 25 games in, not a long way to go. Its crunch time now, must win the games coming up.
 
got this installed on my little netbook and it runs ok apart from the screen size, anyone know if theres any netbook skins around yet. i had one for fm2011 but cant see any for 12 yet
 
FM makes you rage so much, i hate it sometimes, 2-0 up qpr in 10 minutes, wright-phillip scored from the edge of the box, how unrealistic is this game at times, ridiculous
 
make that 4 in total. QPR 2 - arsenal 0, we had around 20 chances. We didnt score once, off the post 4 times..............wtf??????

EDIT: Deleted the save, game just takes up too much time and is pretty pathetic at times. ive noticed strikers like van persie and carveli can get around 10 clear cut chances in a match and wont score one goal. its ridiculous, how can Shawn wright phillips lob my keeper from the edge of the box and to top it off he scores a header from the edge of the area. That says it all.

Will come back to FM12 at some point but that game put me right off, very inconsistent match engine this year and very RANDOM.

haha it does make you rage.

But you've got too admit, the game can be really random. how does van persie miss 4 sitters, caveti miss a couple, just totally dominte from kick off and shaun wright phillips scores a header and lob from the area, i mean come on.
 
seems very hard this year, just started as man u and have lost 3 pre season games sofar to PSV,Burnley and bayern. just using a normall 442 but cant change all the tactics due to running it on the netbook & small screen
